Would you guys be open to Kolo Toure becoming our defensive coach at the end of the season.

I would be open to him being our main RCB for the rest of the season!

    Miles better than Skrtel.

If you're going to make him defensive coach, why wait til the end of the season? I'm sure he can play (very occasionally) and coach at the same time.

    AN ****ing shambles.

well at the moment it is, have to hope he sorts this ****e out sharpish, i was hoping brendan would be here for a few good years yet, but if we are going to keep going backwards rather than forwards, cant really justify it.

jan is going to be huge, do we have any money to spend without selling first?

I think we need a DoF personally. Rodgers was given more control after his incredible achievement last season and we end up spending over 50m on Soton players.

I dont think he was given more power. I think we used the same transfer routine as always.

I'm pretty sure Rodgers will have wanted some older players because he goes on about adding experience a lot.

Experience doesn't come with age, it comes from playing. Look at Lambert, for example. If he's supposed to be our experienced player to help the young kids through, it was a terrible choice! Balotelli's got more top level experience than him - international, champions league and title challenging sides - despite being far younger. Lambert is just as much a rabbit in the headlights in the big games and particularly the CL ones.

I know Carragher has his punditry work but I'm very surprised he wasn't offered a role as a defensive coach. Even if on a part time basis or something.

I'm sure its fine, I don't watch much German football so its hard to comment on how Munich are playing.

Haven't seen anything Tiki-taka at Anfield.... well ever.

It was Suarez's achievement. The man who Rodgers can't even bring himself to name in interviews anymore.

  19. We had a change of tactic for set-pieces today. We adapted a combination of zonal and man-marking oppose to just the man-marking we usually do. Skrtel and Mario seemed to have instructions to attack the ball whilst others marked the opposition. Worked much better too (note the goal wasn't a set-piece)

    This.

We looked far much better with zonal and at no time yesterday did you feel we'd concede. The true test is Tuesday and Saturday where those teams have players good on set pieces.

At least Rogers has shown he is willing to change. Now for not playing Balotelli as a lone striker is another story.
