I remember playing the original Championship Manager before the makers split. You had to buy the different leagues as separate games. I have often considered having Jussi Kujala as my username. Can anyone remember him? He'd cost you 250k from Ajax youth side and basically was the equivalent of Messi in modern day terms.

Alessio Cerci, the greatest player of all time, according to Champ Manager 03/04. 14 years old he would score 30 a season and was available on a youth deal for £500K, then from 15 onwards he'd be worth 50-65 a season... He'd retire as the world's greatest entity, and he wouldn't need to "shake" at urinals, he would clap his hands, and an awed Pele would bound in on all fours, suck off the dregs gleefully and cry with euphoria at the delight of being slapped in the face once with Cerci's ginormous appendage...

I used to watch out for Morton's results, because they had a player called Peter Wetherson, £35K, who had the finishing capacity of Mortal Kombat's greatest warriors, and would represent England consistently, depending on how you handled him...

Certain people will never allow it. To be honest I'm not sure I would go on that much nowadays, not quite the same as it used to be. I only miss it when threads like Smugs recent debacles appear, then I feel I'm perfectly situated to offer mediation skills. Fair play to RAW though, at least he was willing to let a WUM like Gully back. Obviously not twats like myself though
