Gary Mac "That wa Liverpools best starting 11". Erm, I think Sturridge would disagree with you Now McManaman saying how Gerrard was the best player.... just because he made a couple of passes and put in a cross doesn't make him the best player
We did a Spurs agree, too much new players and we lost our goal threat to boot, just lke Spuds we spunked the money up a wall in terms of replacing our goals lost. Studge being injured just shows up the risks we took, it was hinging on him staying fit. Bad, terrible buy, still don't get it, any player that can hold up a ball would have been a better transfer option
Hahaaa 20million on Markovic, what f**ing brilliant philosophy is that. The fans were crying out for a marquee singing and we go pay 20mil for a chap who's scored 5 goals in 40+ games in the portugal league!! 20mill should get you a much more refined player, not a kid that needs working on just about every aspect of his game. the owners don't decide who should come in or who should start, the manger has the finally say. And he's done an almighty f** up in the transfer window and just proven he's not cut out for the top level.
guarantee when sturridge is back we'll be a better team. no point in sacking rodgers; just accept we've had/are having a **** season and look to the next one. balotelli tried today but his team mates let him down. br needs to ****ing drop gerrard and johnson
Did think the Balo challenge on him was a red, no desire to get the ball whatsoever, he only wanted to clean him out.
What worries me is all the supposed 'experts' and ex-players still saying how fantastic Gerrard was. Best player on the pitch apparently It's worrying because it's seemingly how Rodgers sees it too. Johnson's **** up (yet again) with wasted possession going for (yet another) wonder shot on his left foot gave them the chance and space down the right to attack. He's not been mentioned once by any of the analysts for it though, they focus on Moreno in the last second of the move. Two of their players should have been given red, but we were so poor we wouldn't have scored anyway. Rodgers has lost the plot since last year. Playing underperforming players in systems which don't suit the players. He is either too blind to see the mistakes/problems, too stubborn to admit he's got it wrong so far so is going to play it until it works, or he's not as good as we/he thinks he is and can't adapt the team. Right now, I have no idea which one it is although wums will obviously delight in claiming it's the latter.
On another day either one of those could have been red. They were both on that cusp between yellow and red. We got lucky on that one and the game could have been different for you against ten men (could have not would have tho). It will be no consolation to you, but we were due those decisions with some of the ones we had earlier this season. Good luck for the rest of the season tho
Johnson yes, Aarons practically walked round him at one point, but Gerrard was far from the problem today. Balotelli literally walks around shrugging. He got in a couple of decent areas today... in the entire time he was on the pitch. I think he thinks being in his own penalty box for five minutes makes him look like he's going through loads of work. Honestly, he's a massive part of the problem. Please Brod, false 9 vs Real or it'll be a humping again :/
I'm not saying I agree with the youth philosophy just that it's in place. There's a transfer committee at the club to identify targets and a CEO negotiating wages and transfer fees. This isn't 'Football Manager' anymore. One man isn't responsible for everything that happens at a club.
I honestly believe that if we had left the squad as it was at the end of last season, we could not have done any worse this season even without Suarez. We could have saved £75 million pounds.
Tried to be sensible so will try something different. Meltdown warning!! Evacuate!! Meltdown warning!! Evacuate!!
