worst display so far this season. Desparatley need Sturridge back just to have some movement up front.
AVB was sacked for spending less money, winning all European games and being in a higher league position than Rogers currently has and is. Just saying. I think the moral of the story for Liverpool is not to give money to our managers. Each of the last 5 (inc Rogers) have a very hit and miss record and once they are given warchests - boom, kiss of death.
Don't agree entirely, without Suarez we still played very well and still scored goals. Studge and Suraez 50+ between them and many assists as well as creating space. Suarez was a bad loss but losing Studge as well has left us totally ineffective up front. Danny can't come back too soon. I think Bad will benefit from Studge's return as well as Sterling and Coutinho.
Yeah, the fact we got 10 points from first 4 games without him last season means he was 100% the reason. Sturridge & Sterling were passengers last year despite the 30+ goals they scores between them.
I know. And it's really ****ing simple. Only spend big money on proven ****ing quality and spend minimal on risky potential. Raping a mid table club for all their players was the worst ****ing business ever. He's a clueless ****.
Well I'm not calling for Rogers to be sacked, but we've done it again, for the third time in twelve years under three mangers - finish second, then go back three steps. We have done a Spurs, and given sterling's body language today he'll be off at the end of the season. Sinking ships and all that. Suarez gone, most of the money spunked, Studge crocked, defence somehow worse than last season, attack and midfield non-existent.... Another four years' rebuilding before we make top four again, if at all. No point sacking the manager - it'll be another ten years then. We'll be utterly destroyed in our next two games, and although we SHOULD buy big in January, we'll still finish @ 7th, tops, this season.
Weak, anonymous, insipid, bland, lazy, unmotivated, feeble, clueless, repetitive, monotonous... these are the words that come to mind after that. If the people at the club can't see that they need to knock their head against a coffee table like that blind woman in the news today who got her sight back. Big big changes needed. Rodgers is persisting with a system that worked last season but that won't work this season as it's not the same team no matter what he thinks. Last season's approach increasingly looks like it belongs in a vacuum, an airlock, a time capsule of LFC's history to sit alongside Istanbul as a one off rather than a regularity.
Liverpool fans kept telling us how after we play Chelsea and City we would be 7 points behind Liverpool, What happened? lol
The hate towards Rodgers needs to chill, we played badly yes but as I said, if we sack him there is no one around atm who wiuld be an improvement. The hate for Balotelli needs to stop, saying about the lack of touches, how about look at the actual passing too him, you only get touches if you get the ball but he never. Midfield was embarrassing, Gerrard seriously needs to be dropped as it stunts Henderson from just about everything good about his last season now. Stick Allen as CDM and have Henderson and Countinho either side of him. He will l,as against Real Madrid, if he starts against Chelsea then he will never be dropped.
I don't like our 4th kit... the black and white stripe one. Why were Newcastle playing in red? At least we won though... that's the important thing.
We've been terrible this season, but these Rodgers out comments are insane. We've blown a lot of money on potential, but I can't really accept that it's the manager's decision alone. The philosophy of the owners has always been to develop young talent rather than buy the finished article.
I did tell you this would happen because it always happens. You just dont know how to build on a great season. Really wouldnt be shocked to see you take another 4 or 5 years before having another great season. Maybe longer as your driving force will be gone.
This I really like Rogers as a manager, but by heck I was happy when the team-sheet was read out. I hope, for your sake, this was him resting players for Madrid, but honestly, I think he thinks that's his best team. The signing of Mario could have gone two ways, unfortunately, it's going the way where he'll be run out of town with pitchforks and torches. Afraid that's the only time you will see him run!!!
Lol, Rodgers out.....Oh please ffs. Oh there's lots I'm cross with him about...picking the same ****e highest paid players despite any sign of the performance that would justify continuous selection but get rid of manager? Everyone stop what they're doing and pick up all the toys.... Wonder what Gerrards interview topics will be about next week: payrise? Being the next player/captain/manager of LFC....Johnson and Skrtel to join his new bootroom, maybe bring Agger back as defensive coach, Reina as keeper coach...proper old school culture to return.....or stay or reemerge......solidify mediocrity into our DNA once and for all and call it the new Liverpool way..... Just play the new guys for the rest of the season BR, if these guys want to hound you out might as well be playing your own players rather than the hasbeens of old eras.....
And who will come to us in January? Attracted by our league position and attractive attacking football? I think not.
I'm not calling for Rodgers to be sacked. I like him. But he needs to ****ing wake up right now and understand that the problems the squad has isn't just because "the lads need more time in training lol". Your ****ing system is a **** 4-5-1 that Rafa struggled to score with for years and you're nowhere near as defensively astute to make up the difference. Gerrard can't play as a DM or in a " double pivot ". Allen hasn't earned a spot in two years. We need two strikers. Its not a matter of armchair managing it's as simple as ****ing looking at matches where we win and comparing them to the boring, uneventful matches where we lose or draw. It's a common factor. He is stubborn and refuses to hire a defensive coach. He knows Gerrard could be managed better. He won't though because he thinks he is above common sense.
