You forgot to mention PFTS offered CTWD a donation for every shirt sold. Not that that would influence our pro CTWD moderators.
I've asked the question of the site owner, but as yet there's no reply from him, but others have pointed out that it's good manners for playfortheshirt to at least ask the owner, so I've passed on Micks details to them.
Anyone know if they are having the same debate on the Cardiff board. Some people just have to winge and whine and will always find a reason to.
Obviously, anything even remotely against the name change is a disgrace and must be removed in Happy's eyes.
To be fair, I think Happy has a point. Like OLM further up, I saw this as something like people selling spare tickets. What I had not really considered is that Mick, who owns the site puts a lot of work into creating this platform, so it's good manners to ask his opinion and get his permission
Your right happy has a point, protecting the site owners financial interests is a good point. But i didn't see him or his allies shouting about the blatent free plugs for the resturant/diner one of the posters on here's family has opened ( for 1 example ) So in my opinion it sort of weakens his moral stance of doing the right thing for the site owner.
Personally, I don't have an issue with either type of poster, but there is a difference between an established poster mentioning something, and someone else posting stuff that appeals to some City fans. Consensus among the other mods so far is, we got this wrong, and should have got them to get Micks permission. We can only hold our hands up and try to learn from it. Hopefully it ca be sorted and people can get the shirts that seem to be popular. I liked the idea people could input into the designs and see it acted on so quickly.
Hi all, Firstly, apologies if I've broken any rules or code by posting on here without the site owner's permission. It was never our intention to step on any toes or upset any of the mods or owners. Although I've never had contact with Mick, I will get in touch now after being given his contact info and will thank him for allowing us to continue to post. In terms of our brand - we started a while back as Cardiff City fans against the owner changing our club colours from blue to red, and witholding sales of our blue jersey. Our first design was our 'We'll Always Be Blue' and what kicked everything off for us. It was a message we believed in, as do a large contingent of our fanbase. This wasn't about making money, more offering fans (and ourselves) the opportunity to visibly rebel against the changes being forced on us. The 'We Are Hull City' was our second design, having seen a very close parallel between our club's colour change and the impending 'Hull Tigers' name changed being forced by your chairman. I can see that folks will see that us being opportunist, but there's not much we can do about that. One the 'WAHC' shirts, we did make various donations to the 'City Til We Die' fund as we felt proper. Let me state clearly that we've made no profit from this company yet. This was not why we started Play For The Shirt. We're football fans, not businessmen. We do this as a hobby. Hopefully we'll recoup some of our startup costs at some point, but it doesn't keep us awake at night nor is it our motivation. But yes, we've added shirts to cover every Premiership team with the aim of trying to cater for fans who have asked us to cover their teams. These have been more of the generic nature, rather than any such message - which is where our Cardiff City and Hull Collections remain unique. We really do consider these the heart and soul of what our company is about. Again though, thanks to everyone that's given any feedback positive or otherwise. And especially those who've bought an item from us. It really is appreciated. Cheers
Are you posting them out on demand now or doing what you did last year and sending them all out at once?
Cheers Dutch, that's all I wanted. It's a shame the usual screeching ****wits can't stay out of threads like this. My points were purely about respect and courtesy, points clearing missing from the ****wits who as always try to turn everything into a CTWD/Name change thing, then accuse me of doing that. One final message for you: Grow the **** up. It's not always about you. As I've posted previously in this thread, good idea, I've got one ffs, and I've nowt against small groups of fans doing stuff for themselves or others. PFTS seems to have moved on since those early days and it was only right that something was mentioned to Mick. This site isn't free to him, just the rest of us. Good luck in your venture PFTS, the tshirt I got from you is smashing, lets hope some lessons have been learnt about etiquette. Dutch - Thanks for your support and help.
We try to get our orders out next working day where possible after ordering, but generally out within 5 days.
