Good morning people, isn't nice to have the board returning to normal? Great thread about Smug, Comm. Very decent of you, respect
dont think this is too far out imo, Aside from the mistakes that gifted the Gunners their goals, they were relatively uncompetitive. In the mini-league they are in, in the bottom eight of the Premier League, that is the very least they have got to be. I expect Palace will show them that on Monday night.
Poyet speaks, if anyone want to listen to his interview. http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport...al-palace-match-and-newcastle-derby-1-6927766
Our problem when we play catts rodwell Larsson is that there too much distance between them and the front 3, Johnson has to drop into in his own half and if he gets the ball he's got three opposition players straight on him. Its no coincidence the one game we have won is when we played a man slightly advanced of cdm in Gomez. The only problem is that Gomez is too slow and ponderous on the ball to play against top teams or away from home when we'll be on the back foot and playing counter.
Well, its nice to see that someone has finally put their kids to bed and that this great Match Thread can continue to talk about the REAL things that matter. When they start to grow up and become more mature, then maybe , just maybe, will this forum start to attract decent footballing opinion and banter once again. Then the gc's will have nothing to worry about. Haway the Lads man !!
I could go on all day with what's wrong, Bigest problem for me, Larrson is the wrong type of midfielder to play next to a box to box midfielder and infront of DM, we need a much more attacking minded CM in there. Then there's RB, we need two attacking full backs to bring the balance and allow the two wide men off the main striker to play closer to him. Then we need to move the bloody ball faster.
Whoever posted on the first page about putting Mavrias in If we're going to shake off the hoodoo of the last fortnight, he might be the one to let loose.
What has he shown to suggest he'd make an impact? Is he tearing the u21 league apart? Ive seen n heard nowt to suggest it
Only seen him on the field once and thus, quite happy to take any correction, other reports vary from innocuous to stood up and did OK or better ...faired well -to showed flair and energy. Have I got that wrong?
Here's one i read the other day, a stattp can try and check it to see if it's correct.. We havn't won a Monday night game in the prem in the last 20 attempts?
That doesnt surprise me! Whenever we are on the telly i have that funny feeling that we are more likely to lose due to that fact! We rarely turn on the style anyway but even more so when on the box for some reason! I just wish we played 3pm every Saturday, just to get the torment and disappointment out of the way! I have lost a little passion over the football as I've getting older and just one of the reasons is the fact that so many games are played on Sundays and Mondays. If I was i charge I would insist that all weekend games were played at the same time on a Saturday! I'm a bit of a traditionalist really!
Got me ticket and will be sat in the SAFC end with a Palace-supporting mate. Last time I went we got beat and looked terrible. Fingers crossed that we're going to start turning the corner soon...
Nowt, nonsense superstitious cock, what were people saying about our encounters with Everton not long ago? PS: remember, no nipples PPS: this is an octopus vibrator, does that cross the nipple-line? Yes. Sid
It's daft mate, He's played once for the development squad, as has Cabral, apart from that they don't get game time like most of the bench warmers. Unused subs need minutes in the reserves to keep them sharp imo but we just don't do it.
