    1.Very different thread.

    2. Only when they attract the same attention, fans, media, sponsorship, and put in the same amount of effort. Ie 5 sets at Wimbledon. Remove gender from the equation and all sports should mean test their competitions on these factors.

Danny Graham was actually on the bench the other week. It is comforting to know that when in need of a goal that Altidore and Graham are ready to come on and save the day

probably Ginola Brilliant for the first few months, a lovely bloke in his eighties who sat behind me (and watched Newcastle and sunderland) said he was the best he had seen and he loved bobby Mitchell but ginola was more skilful.
I would pay just to watch him (mind you so would my wife for other reasons).

Saw Zidane towards the end of his career playing for Madrid in that team of 'Galactio's'. He was a different level. It was almost as if the opposition just sort of watched him when he got the ball, waiting for him to do whatever he wanted.

Am I the only one who saw George Best play live then :)

As for equal pay ...... only if they bring the men's wages down to be equal with women's. Players get way too much however talented they are.

Paul Gascoigne, Peter Beardsley, Kenny Dalglish (Liverpool not Scotland). But the best of them 3 I think was Gazza, there was one game cant remember who it was against when he nutmegged a player and then patted him on the head as he went past him. I think David McCreery went and bollocked him on the pitch nearly twatted him.

If I was asked who the best 18yo I had seen live, then the answer would have to be Gazza.

I never have seen any kid that age with the talent, flair and outright confidence he had when he first came into the Toon first team.

    Non-Toon player

Could say George Best, but only saw him once as a young un.

    Has to be....... Steven Gerrard
