Has left the club. I wonder if he was blamed for the injuries that we now have, as distinct from the lack of injuries we had when he was employed by mad dog?
This leave a sour taste in my mouth to be honest. Under Mad Dog as you point out James Russell seemed to be very effective at keeping the lads both fit and strong but his influence seems to have decreased under Taylor and clearly its got to the point where he is unneeded. I know I don't know what happens behind the scenes but surely when we have huge problems with picking up knocks having a conditioning coach might be a good call? Anyway thanks for the work you did James and best of luck for the future!
This could be totally untrue but clive love gills has posted this on Kent Online: " someone said today that james Russell was sacked as he is injured and cannot get an op on the NHS for months (par for the course) and the club aren't willing to help - seems more than a bit harsh if true"
Sadly this is true. Heard from a close contact of James himself. Just hope he can get an operation soon, perhaps before the 15 weeks mentioned, then some decent rehab before getting a new job. He was very close to going to the Valley before us so perhaps he might be able to get in the door again there. Im sure he would be treated a little better elsewhere anyway !!
I have heard that as well. Shocking treatment of a man that in my eyes was as much to go with our league champion season as any player or staff member.
