All this discussion about grammar and vocabulary has brought out the inner pedant in me: It's not "should of",it's "should have". The normal abbreviation for "should have" is "should've" which sounds like "should of", but this is no reason not to write "should have". Right, I'll get off my metaphorical high horse and wind my metaphorical neck in. (I could have railed against "alot", but this could be a typo, so I won't push it)
