Chick - I've already gone on record as saying that I have very deep reservations about him coming and if there was a choice I'd prefer us to look elsewhere but as we have seen with O'Neill since he came, when he sets his mind on it, he always gets his man. So, we either spit our dummies out and stop going, or we bite our lips and look for a positive. Now, if as you say the filth make a move for him as suggested and he goes there (why wouldn't he if he loves them that much) then we are no worse off and indeed our fears would have been vindicated. However, if given that choice and he chooses to come here despite that then in my eyes he has shown something that Chopra and Clark never did. A clear preference to play for us. Both Clark and Chopra were rejected by their boyhood love and we were 2nd choice just so they could stay in the area. They took the money but cared **** all for us as fans or the club they played for and that eventually shone through by their unforgivable actions on and off the pitch. If Graham is given a straight choice and still opts for us and MoN, then for me he is cleared of the accusations I too have labelled him with. He would get the fresh break and a clean slate for me and as I have also maintained throughout this discussion, for me his ability and quality are not the issues here, his desire and ambition to play for us however is. We shall see how this pans out this week as I reckon he will be in before the Swansea game in a week and a bit time for sure.
He's not French and is on the very age limit of players we recruit. I don't think we are even in the running for him. Never been one of our seriously rumoured targets. If we went for him it would be last minute and because all other avenues had come to nothing.
