My latest thoughts after a much improved day at Loftus Road. http://statesidesuperhoop.weebly.com/blog/score-4-yet-lose-3-2 Overall think we were superb throughout the match minus a few minutes of lapses in judgment and concentration. I honestly believe that, if we have played the way that we did today all season, we would not be bottom of the league. Performances like that against Hull City, Stoke City, Southampton, and West Ham would have produced vastly different results. You can see it in the play today. You can feel it. The players felt it. The supporters felt it. Even the players from Liverpool felt it. Steven Gerrard was very honest after the match and stated that Liverpool were not at their best and were very lucky to come away with ANY result; let alone three points. The talent is there. The potential is there. We have a good club. We have a good backroom staff. But the excuses have to stop. The lackadaisical attitudes have to be curbed. If we play like this within our next 30 matches, I have no doubt that we will survive in this league. But everyone must be up for it. Say what you want about the supporters, but week in and week out we are ALWAYS up for it! Itâs time for the club to take accountability. Everyone. The players, the staff, the board, the chairman. One game does not make a season. Fantastic effort today against Liverpool. Letâs keep it going from this point on. COYRS!!!
Yes, score four, opposition scores only 1 .............. yet we lose by one. This is what happens when you are a QPR fan. This is why we partake in alcoholic beverages .............. to ease our continuous pain. It costs lots of money to keep the faith !
Was a much better performance all round - even redknapp seemed rejuvenated. Would have preferred us to be playing like this since the start of the season, but from now on in - if 75% of our games match this we'll be ok.
If you want to split some hairs you say that we scored 5 and stil losed 3-2! Yes, that coutinhos goal was slightly deflected from Caulker.....
Looked like all five goals were scored by QPR to me … keeper may have got their second if it had took a deflection off Caulker … there seemed to be enough players there to block that shot The game was terrible IMO … kids football
Score 4 Yet (Liverpool) lose 3-2 (on aggregate)...... No, I haven't lost my marbles after yesterday's last minute defeat. The thread has just reminded me when I was in the Kop in 1986 for the Milk Cup semi final 2nd leg. Another match between us and 'pool when one team scored 2 own goals..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fu67rL8xt4 Once of my lasting memories of that night was when our boys, euphoric after winning the leg at Anfield, did a jog around the pitch. Some Kop-ites started shouting dirty ******** cockneys. Before I could make some geographical corrections (!), most of the Kop starting clapping the away team: a grand gesture. Prefer not to remember the final. As for yesterday's game, even the woeful first own goal couldn't stop me feeling proud of our performance.
