Wouldn't it be just brilliant if Pompey got Gosport Borough in the FA 1st round!! Failing that Havant and Waterlooville if they can come through their replay!!!!! Failing that it would be nice for Pompey to play a non-league team for a change and a possible chance to build some confidence by scoring goals.!!
Pompey at home to Eastleigh would be good. The police could bring back the "bubble" for the travelling fans - all 12 of them !
I imagine they'd 'acquire' a few travelling fans for the day. If it was at their place it would have to be moved to Friday night or Sunday, as saints are at home to Leicester on the Saturday. Ten Acres only has a 3,500 capacity, which would probably have to be reduced for crowd segregation on the insistence of the police. I wonder if they'd be allowed to or want to switch it to St Mary's Equally, if we got drawn away to Gosport or the Hawks, would they want to switch the game to Fratton Park? While I can understand switching for reasons of financial gain, I'm a great believer in the romance of the FA Cup and would prefer to see matches played at the ground of the team that was drawn first out of the hat!
