Millwall (A) - Leeds (H) - Bolton (A) - Birmingham (A) - Reading (H) - nothing is easy in this division, but what a great chance to put some points on the board.

How close to 15 points can we get from that lot? Don't want to get carried away because of our last two results, but I reckon a dozen from that possible 15 would put us in the playoffs before the crunch Watford away game.

It'll be interesting to see how we cope away from home for the first time on Saturday under Russell's guidance.

If he can continue the effort and commitment from the first 2 games we have the ability to take 12+ out of those fixtures.

I think that sort of run of form would see us knocking the auto's door by the time we play Watford.

    I've been thinking the same.

Fitness has improved, confidence is much better, players coming back from injury. Always a test of character at Millwall, if we can get a win out of that we will be on a real high going forwards. Could manage a 25/26k attendance the following week v. Leeds. They will sell out their allocation.

Apart from the youngsters Johnson and Healey, we haven't loaned out anyone else yet. I wonder when Russell will make decisions on the peripheral senior players?

Some tough games there but all winnable - Slade is an excellent motivator and will be targeting all 15 points and no reason why you can't get them - 9 would be a good return but agree with Steve - think the talent in this squad, coupled with a manager that has got them playing like a team, will get you 12+.

Good luck guys, nice to see the good ship Cardiff sailing on calmer waters - long overdue! <cheers>

We mustn't get too excited yet (says the man with 12pt + prediction....) but the difference has been remarkable in the last 2 games.

I would happily take a draw from Millwall tomorrow, obviously 3 points is my preferred choice. A point away is a point gained.

Agree Jay, a point wouldn't be the end of the world, but we really need a win.

We haven't won away in the league this season yet, and if we can get this one under our belt, it'll be a massive result.

As always, table positions will depend on how those other teams immediately above us get on, but we can't do anything about that other than go for the burn in these game ourselves - tomorrow will be the most difficult in my view.

It's about how we go about it that will decide. Holloway is no mug despite him trying to prove it sometimes with his comments....<laugh>

If we win its game on. Confidence will be booming. We have started life well under Slade, long may it continue..

However, IT IS Cardiff City we are talking about <laugh>

I was just about to type those very words out until I read the last post

There is potential for banana skins with 2 of those clubs (and possibly also Reading if Adkins doesn't improve results) having new managers. Look at the effect it has one City's players.

Our Leeds hoodoo surely cannot go on can it? They have not beaten us since 1984.

This league throws up bonkers results all the time. It is impossible to predict.

I am of the school where the old adage about taking each game as it comes is pertinent.

I knew it Nin - nothing like a bit of common sense on here............<laugh>

Each game should be as important as the next - they're all worth 3 points - but sometimes when you get on a roll you can pick up some momentum.

Overworked expression, but these next 5 games could define our season - or the rest of it anyway. To get into the playoffs before November is out after the poor start we've made under Ole and Co would be brilliant.

I think we should take the next 5 games, 1 game at a time. But a full house of 15 points is a possibility.!! Just for you Sparks

Saturdays' game at Millwall is probably toughest of the Five. A win there will set us up nicely for the following four.

Twelve/thirteen would be an excellent return, but fifteen's is a distinct possibility & I'd be targeting exactly that.

One game at a time & we can only play what is put in front of us and not worry about what the teams above us are doing.

It's a funny old game, but we're probably too good to go down and I'd be over the moon if everyone gives 110% effort.

Where are Saint and Greavsie these days?........<laugh>
