In trouble again. Brendon needs to crack open his skull and pour in a bucket of brains, cause there's none in there just now.
What a waste of a good pair of football boots. Proof again there's no God. If there was he wouldn't give dopes talent, or put the oil in the desert or diamonds so far underground. Well done Jose for steering clear of this shirker.

Fair post CP. I believed Mario will stop being Stupid and become super - this is possibly his last chance at big time. Geniunely thought that was a good bit of business by Brendan in taking a "Calculated Risk". I even rated Mario over Romelu & Loic with respect to last minute strikers signed by clubs.

Still early days - but with every passing day Mario looks like Anelka, Caroll & Adebhayor rolled into one.

I don't think this was a calculated risk at all. He has been a nightmare where ever he has been. Odd good games can't disguise the fact he disappears for 4/5 games and it's like playing with 10 men.

The thing is, least when Torres was struggling he'd be running round the pitch trying to make things happen (Normally resulted in him getting booked mind). Mario does nothing. I would genuinely be playing Lambert if I was Rodgers.

Unlike Balotelli, Heskey would put an effort in, and on occaisions was good, remember..."Five nil, even Heskey scored". Repeat 5 times. Munich 2001

What's the general vibe with the Liverpool fans Luv?

Are they already starting to turn on him? Certainly looking like Rodger's biggest mistake as your manager.

Didn't think he'd be brilliant for them but never in a million years though he'd be this bad!

It's a shame to see someone let such talent go to waste. How many of us would love the chance to play for some of the biggest teams in the world and for one of the greatest national teams?

Seems like he's a decent lad away from football as well.

It's mixed... seems the older fans hate him and the twitter collective (15 and under) are following likewise. The older fans expect a certain behaviour and the younger fans want fantasy points.

I'm in the middle. We won't see the best from him until we have Sturridge back and can play him in the right system. He's shown signs of his game - hold up play, powerful running... he's just a square peg right now. Added to the fact half our team haven't played together. The team including Mario are visibly shot of confidence also. If he didn't have his reputation I don't think we'd be calling him 'lazy' either. He's not Rooney but he's hardly Berbatov.

What I can't forgive is his needless shooting. Has to cut that out.

What I'm trying to say is the problem isn't so simple. Lots of compound issues which will hopefully sort themselves out by December.

Tbf to Anelka I thought his attitude when he played for us was top notch even tho he played out of position I can't remember him complaining or putting in a half arsed effort once .

    Fair point!

I made Anelka comparison for becoming a superstar at a very young age and drifting away instantly (not gradually).

If you pick all the bad things from Anelka, Caroll, Ade & Nando and make them into one - that would be Mario!

Most of pool team is not good enough. Where as Mario is good enough but awful on the pitch.

True Lucky, but not for his football, only his behaviour, and today another one, threatened a woman taking pictures of his Ferrari apparently. He's odds on for a spell at the psychiatrists for mine.

  18. Agree with this. It wasn't a calculated risk, it was a panic buy because we didn't look like getting anyone else leaving us with Borini, Lambert and a injury prone Sturridge.
