Hi Everyone, I've been neglecting the board a little bit of late, not helped by the fact i'm off work quite poorly at the minute, all the doctors stuff done and on the mend hopefully. And seriously it was nothing to do with travelling up North for the weekend, my hosts were absolutely superb in looking after me. I might even get round to my write-up eventually when i'm better. So what's going on, well i completely destroyed my old account, never a clever move, just had a mad rush of blood to the head, got a bit volatile and needed a break, and never a good move, especially when you have the most destructive tools at your disposal, just never leave me in charge of the Nuclear button. So now I've taken my medication, the site owner and Minxy have jointly helped me rebuild this one. Talking of which Minxy has helped out greatly, I think she suddenly realised how much has to be done on the Gills board lol - but much appreciated by me and also Hoadie stepped in to do the Star Player thread, so thanks to them both. Don't worry as always i have all the stats safely saved, even if a table is very late in being updated. I never got to the Preston game last night (Tuesday 21st Oct), I did not think it would be a clever idea to be sitting in my usual seat on an October evening considering the circumstances. Sounds like the lads did good though, well in the first half - at least it wasn't another Hereford in my absence! I will be looking to go to Crawley at home on Saturday but that really will be dependent on conditions. If it's blowing rain and a gale, then as brave has i normally am, I will have to give it another miss, but let's see how it goes. Now the important bit: The site, lot's of things been going on behind the scenes, the stuff you never see... 1. Removing all the porn from the site 2. Moved to a new server 3. Currently live testing of a new platform Now if anyone would like to see the new platform, let me know and i will see what i can sort out for you. Just bear in mind it is only a test platform, some functionality may have problems and ppl will be messing about on there ie bad language etc to test various things, how do i delete, how do i ban, how do i edit, does html work for prediction tables. It's just about getting a feel of the place. So those that want a look, give me a shout but remember i only want helpful feedback, there is still so much work to do. I am aware from The Gills PegLeg that some members are having problems accessing some of the site, getting the 502 error. I will pass the details on to Mick but as you can see, i can only add my apologies, so much stuff going on at the moment. thanks brb

Mick (site owner) is being kept busy keeping out persistent hackers and is considering moving to the new site sooner rather than later. A phased migration is no longer viable so all members and forums will be moved over at the same time. At present there is no fixed date for this move as there is still some work to be done on the test site. If you haven't yet tried the look and feel of the test site may I suggest you do so as soon as you can so that, preferably, any questions/problems can be dealt with prior to the move.
