Let's have another poll, this time open. Honestly, who do you think will finish highest in the league out of Saints, Spurs, Liverpool and Man United? Saints do have a shot at finishing above all these teams. Unlikely though.
I'm surprised at you tomw23. I would have thought you would have thought it through before doing such a ground breaking poll. And where's the openness then..? I stuck my neck out and voted Saints. If I'm prepared to do that I want it seen..!
Manure, Spuds and The Scousers are stuck with their current defences until the new year at least, by that time Saints might've built a nice little cushion. Another factor is that Saints are well equipped for any "injury crisis" and I believe will continue to score freely for the duration of the season. Sooo my conclusion is that we have a reasonable chance of finishing above these 3 teams. My top 5 are: Chelsea Man City Arsenal Saints Manure
Toughie...Arsenal will finish above us (unless Les Reed has truly sold his soul to the devil). Of the teams chosen, I think we will be above 1 or 2 of them, but which. This is difficult because given that choice, Saints are the only team on form. Therefore, we are looking for the team(s) capable of regaining form when Saints are dropping points. I think United are such jammy buggers, they will finish above us and possibly Liverpool. I'm going for Spurs to be the worst of the lot.
Well that's true. You did run the risk of being flamed, so it was brave. But I think people here will take it seriously. Wait for when it gets out to the rival forums though [not through me]. You might get some flak then.
Sadly the amount of £ Man U can/will spend in the next window will push 'em over the CL line. But by timothy, I'd give one of my testicles to finish above them this season.
I voted for Saints, but then with my username, what else could I do. I don't really rate Spuds, despite them narrowly beating us they haven't looked quality, Liverpool will struggle for goals, so its only really Man utd who may pip us from that list, and I can't bring myself to vote for them unless it was a poll on the team I hate the most.
Whilst I don't think it is likely, I think we have come a long way because pundits now have to think about us finishing top 4, rather than just laugh.
It realistic we could finish above Everton, and it possible we can finish above Spurs. It's also conceivable that one of the usual powerhouses has an off season and consequently we finish above them.
Tend to agree with those that think Man Utd will finish highest but can't bring myself to vote for them. It's just not right somehow.
