think we need to spend big and buy some actual QUALITY in jan or risk being left behind and in the wilderness for 3-4 years. feel so let down by the signings brendan has made thus far. imho i think we sold suarez a season to early even if he wasnt playing i think just his presence would have helped us.

Don't know if I'd trust Rodgers now to handle so much money. His transfers are mostly proving to be shocking. Tactically tonight it was appalling as well. Just kept doing the same thing over and over, no cutting edge, toothless.

Its the reason he was so cheap. Top quality forward but injury prone. If we crossed sturridge with balotelli we could have top quality striker who doesnt get injured or more likely wed end up with the other cross, a lazy **** who is injury prone <wah>

    With what money?

Markovic may come good but 20 mil a big gamble. 20 mil on Lovren was way way way too much and we all knew that. At the moment he is just a younger agger with the older aggers faults. Balotelli has to have a partner up top or he doesn't work.... at all. Moreno I think will be good as will Manquillo and no real risk with that buy. lallana good player but not worth the 20, Lambert was always going to be for the FA, COC, and the occassional league game and cheap.

Think about the past window. Sakho, who I do like but seems to be injured all the time, looks a gamble now. Illori and Luis Alberto, 14 million down the drain, don't think they will ever play for us.

Would rather see Suso who has been at the club and knows the club given a chance than some of these. We have spent over 100 mil on the back line and GK, can't complain we have not spent there!

Why are we writing-off players after so few matches? As I understood it the buying strategy was to increase both the number and the quality of the squad we have. It's far far too early to say any of the players we have won't make the grade -or even that they'll never play for us.

The 2 players who have come in for the kost criticism are Lovren and Balotelli. Balotelli was always going to be a risk but we have only been able to play him as a twin striker for part of 1 match - we know he can't play the lone striker role. Lovren does have quality but he needs to be taken out of the firing line for a while. Markovic needs to come to terms with a new club and the demands of the Prem.

As I keep saying the problems are with Rodgers and his tactics and formation, individually we have good players but they are not working together at the moment. A change of formation or attitude from Rodgers and things may click again.

Rodgers wants to play his way! We sorry it isn't working at the moment take a step back make some changes and see if we can get a few clean sheets then as confidence grows we can look to play a bit more attacking footy again.

Rodgers isn't good enough to manage Liverpool - he got lucky last year (thanks to Suarez) and is back to form now... Buying too many mediocre players from Southampton and desperately buying Balotelli when he needed a replacement for Suarez proves he aint got a clue. My mate has posted a good article about him here

Yes. 3 big signings needed. GK, CB and a striker. Like someone said previously I don't have faith in Rodgers to identify top players though based on his transfer record
