True to a point ... when he comes for a cross he usually punches it a great distance and clears the immediate danger. The problem is he doesnt come for them very often instead staying rooted to his line.
See, that I'd understand people moaning about. It just irritates me when people say he's poor dealing with crosses when thats not the case. He just loves his line
Surely this is a training/coaching problem? there must be some plan for who deals with crosses, the centre halves or the keeper, otherwise there would be a right shambles as they all crashed into each other. Some commonsence needs to be involved here, if the keeper is hemmed in then the CHs need to take the initiative.
Well he should know by now the CB are **** at heading clear and take the initiative. Let out a roar of Migs and come out and punch clear taking the forwards defenders and the ref with him if needs be
Migs and all defenders need to spend a **** ton more hours on the training ground just dealing with crosses and set pieces. We concede so many from these.
I think the issue is half one of total lack of trust I mean look at Skertl last night he left his man free, a cardinal sin to go after a ball that was never his. No trust in lovern. Mingolet sees it and dashes out too If Skertl stuck to his man it'd be ok. If Johnson for goal 2 stuck to his man rather than ball watch.... Or if coutinho simply hooked the ball away rather than being cute... Well that's the Rodgers way...
No partnerships in our team all the way through, no trust no understanding. Like I said earlier individually they are not bad players.
he did pull off one second half stop from Ronaldo when he was clean through. but he was at fault for the second when he came out feet first when he should have dived on the ball. And yet again, between the defence and him, we were woeful from dead balls around the box.
He made one good save last night and flapped at everything else. His performance against QPR was horrendous. We didn't lose 3-0 last night due to Real Madrid's quality, we lost 3-0 because we can't defend.
Why I don't like Migs: - Cannot command his box - Scared of his own shadow - Rooted to his line - Hardly comes out for anyone - Instills no confidence in his centre backs
People say Reina, but he was 3rd in clean sheets in his last season and I for one would take Reina over Mignolet in a heart beat.
Personally I think Neville was justified and he used more than just the Everton game as an example of Mignolet's errors.
Neville showing the guts he doeant have Mignolet is rubbish though. However tye defence is at fault as even rubbish keepers can do a job if they have a solid defence in front of them.
