    I know the book was called The Jacket in the UK - it's available online - good old Gutenberg - http://www.gutenberg.org/files/1162/1162-h/1162-h.htm

    I thought the film of the same name was the Jack London book but have to admit not watched it.

    Football Periodisation- by Raymond Verheijan
    Making the Ball Roll ( good for he youths)- by Ray Power
    The Second half- Roy Keane ( got it for free from a coach, always love the behind the scenes stuff).

    About it at the moment but time is not my friend until Thanksgiving!

    The book that Bram Stoker based Dracula on is pretty good too.

    Camilla by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu. Pretty short read but probably better than Stoker's clone of his work. Besides... the lead is a Lesbian Vampire. That beats Dracula.

    If you read Camilla immediately after Dracula (or vice versa) you realise just how much Stoker's stole from Le Fanu. (But left out the lesbian stuff)

    Just about anything by HG Wells is good.

    Picture of Dorian Gray is good.

    First Dune book was good.

    Bernard Cornwell has written some good books.

    "The day after tomorrow" was a fantastic novel, my favourite as an early 20 something (the movie that came out with the same name is in no way related... completely unrelated story).

    When I worked in a book store I recommend day after tomorrow to a German guy not realising he was German. (Anyone who has read the book will realise why that wasn't a good idea).


    Game of thrones and the first sequel were really good. Better than the TV show by far.

    Wilbur Smith's "River God" a novel set in ancient Egypt was fantastic. As was "Burning Shore". "Rage" 2nd sequel to Burning Shore, did a good job setting the scene during Apartheid and explaining different viewpoints in S. Africa at the time.

    Ohhh... bless my tepuli! i forgot to mention my favourite novel of all time:

    Aztec by Gary Jennings. Brilliant novel about the last generation before Spain conquered them.



    Shogun and Gai-Jin by James Clavell both excellent novels!

    Orson Scott Card's Enders Game was as fantastic as the film was underwhelming.

    Book was fantastic. The sequels were all trash though.



    I'm reading an indie author Jerry Dubs at the moment. Imhotep was a good novel. Reading the prequel/sequel now (yes both prequel/sequel in same book)

    Don't forget Tai Pan, Noble House and King Rat. The latter was made into a decent film, I think Steve Mcqueen was in it

    I read that, but was disappointed if I'm honest. I preferred the TV show, if anyone saw that.
