Adams Out? How long should he be given?

Discussion in 'Norwich City' started by ThaiCanary, Oct 22, 2014.

?

How long should we give Neil Adams?

  1. Get rid now

  2. Get rid at end of December (if in bottom half)

  3. Get rid at end of December (if results don't improve)

  4. Give rid at end of the season (if in bottom half)

  5. Give rid at end of the season - if not promoted

  6. Keep him for next season (if we finish in top half)

  7. Keep him next season (wherever we finish)

Can I just point out that those two "defensive midfielders" are our joint third top scorers in the league, scoring twice as many goals each (two) than the rest of our midfielders combined so far (one from Wes).

<yikes>. Many a true thread has been written cloaked in the just joking mould, my take on it is Thai woke up expecting a win as streams are few and far between and decided to stir up a hornets nest.
We are not an impatient sack a manager every 6 months club so if we are in touching distance of auto spot then that is satisfactory at this stage.

For once Munky I'm in complete agreement with you.
This thread is pointless and unnecessary.
It's not even as though we've been poor ! Just very unlucky IMO .

Would be very harsh to sack him so soon. Give him till 2015. If it's still looking grim, sack him - we can save our season from there still.

It's only worrying if we stop creating chances. That's why I turned on Hughton; we were not only not scoring, we could barely get a shot away. I've only been to two league games this season but from the looks of things we're still making plenty of opportunities.

It looks to me also that we have difficulty breaking teams down that are set out just to defend. I have no doubt that Neyul will be working tirelessly on ways to fix this problem. Howson starting yesterday was a step in the right direction for me. <ok>

What a disappointment! Our usual suspect has posted on his own board that we are in melt down over our manager, I look on here and see a perfectly reasonable discussion! I can't believe JWM would deliberately lie, just like he ewore blind he was leaving not606, then carried on posting! I knew it was too good to be true!

They could have gone above us last night but completely imploded Dave ,that must be very frustrating for Ipswich fans.

Yes, it was good to see some tweaks to the starting 11. All he needs to do now is play Cuellar at CB and let Rusty play at RB!!!! <ok>

I'm more worried about John Ruddy's positioning when it comes to shots from outside the box than I am about Adams. I'm not too worried about Ruddy either so that tells you my opinion.

Am I the only one to think he should have kept at least one of the goals against Brum, Charlton, Leeds and possibly Fulham out?

Very good point about Ruddy <ok>
I'm not in any way suggesting he's to blame for our recent dip, or even our relegation last season, but apart from the final game against Arsenal I don't recall him having a "blinder" for a long, long time. We've seen a number of superb goalkeeping performances in the last couple of seasons, but hardly any from our own guy. I agree our forwards have been profligate this year and last, but now frustrating is it to be denied points against teams who only muster one or two shots on target?

We used to muse over who was better out of Ruddy and Forster, I've personally rated Forster as slightly better, however these days I think he's miles better.

I think he had a very good game against the Brentford Massive, but all his saves were from shots inside the box.

He looks vulnerable from shots outside the box and I think opposition teams have realised that.
