Hello again chaps! Mick the jolly sailor here, not been able to log in for a while so changed username. Had a quick gander at the new site Ron, looks tidy. Count me in if that's ok?
Of course Mick. How are you? Go to the group first (see link above). A thought though. The data for testing was converted over a week ago so it probably won't recognise you under your new name. So, try your old name and if that doesn't work try registering as a new member on the test site. Any problems let me know.
I've had the same problem Mick. I had a look at the new site and had a few problems, so I signed out, but couldn't get back in. All I got was the 502 line. I was locked out of both sites. Maybe it's a IE problem, I just don't know. The only way back in was to use Chrome. When I did, I found I was already logged on. The whole thing was crazy. Even now, I can not use IE.
Yes, me too, got "new registrations not accepted" when I tried to log-in. However, agree with above comments in essence, tidy and straightforward. Old site needed a damn good clean-up anyway, so the new website is a very good idea IMHO. Should add that maybe the new site, when put into full operation, should be "hoovered/dysoned" on a regular basis, especially the football section? Just a thought.
Just to clarify. Are you having (or have had) problems getting into this site, the test site, or both?
Jolly good. You should have an invite to the group. Please read the opening post and then go to the test site from there. As you weren't a registered active member when the test was set up you will need to register as a new member on the test site. That will test that out. I think you will be the first new member on the test site. Thanks everyone who has volunteered so far.
Invited stick Please read the opening messages in the Trial for Horse Racing Forum Group on this site and in the Trial Conversion for Horse Racing Forum conversation on the test site. Thanks.
Any more for any more. What I would like now is for as many as possible to just tinker and navigate around the place and let me know of any improvements that can be made to make it more appealing. There is no user guide at present but we will build one up based on comments and questions etc. If you let me know via here that you will be visiting I will invite you to the group reserved for comments and the group conversation on the test site. However if you prefer to pop over without joining the group, you can visit the site here and see how you get on. Once there you will be able to set up your own threads and group conversations and post on any existing threads. If you set up a new conversation could you please include me in it if you are discussing the test site. If I notice you have posted on the test site I will add you to the "official" (for want of a better word) groups. Thanks
I have now set up threads on the test site for The Reasoning Behind the Move and Look and Feel Suggestions and Comments Please pop over when you get a chance and add any comments. Thanks
