That defence is a real shambles. No leadership, just like Liverpool.

We can finish above Man Utd if they play like this.

I rather enjoyed all the matches i watched this weekend, City-Spurs, Saints-Sunderland, QPR-Liverpool and WBA-United. Great entertainment value.

We should but I think they want 30m
And being a young in form English striker he will (regardless of our current position) have more lucrative offers.

Spurs if the price is not actually that high would want him. Might be good if they do as they might abandon the Jay rod pursuit as I am sure poch will have berahino play a similar way

What must Rickie be thinking when he can`t get game time ahead that lazy waste of space Balotelli. He wanders around aimlessly, never breaking sweat, looking totally disinterested. It wouldn`t be so bad if scored occasionally.

it really bugged me last season when Shaw would recieve the ball, run forward 3 metres and then pass it back 10 metres to the CB thus stopping the break. Watching him do it for Utd is funny though. Bertrand is such a breath of fresh air

What really annoyed me about Shaw last season is the way he would burst forward, infield with the ball and slightly misplace a direct pacey pass to Lambert or Rodriguez, so that they miss-controlled it and lost the ball. Then Shaw would sprint back into position or the opposition would pass the ball into the area he had vacated. Inexperience and inaccuracy. Bertrand doesn't suffer any of that going forward. He has a very good and accurate pass on him. Shaw is the better defender though and is stronger and a wee bit faster. Each to their own though. I do like Bertrand. He hasn't annoyed me yet in the slightest. As a replacement I don't think we could have done better.

Shaw has time on his side if he is allowed to develop properly. Hope the pressure doesn't get too much for him.

Reading this board lately makes me get the impression that all the players that left us were utter ****e. I don't understand how the hell we finished eight with the likes of Chambers, Lallana, Shaw, Lovren and Lambert? And manager was also a complete tool.

He would be classed as fat at Saints, but Redknapp should be experienced enough as a manager not to let rip like that. He embarrassed himself...he could learn from Poyet. He was angry and you knew it, but he didn't name names in public. It's called keeping your powder dry, Harry.

Chambers, can't seem to time a tackle since moving to cb, but he is still young tho.
    Lambert, can't get a game
Lovren, has been very poor. Always seems to concentrate on one player and not the ball.
Shaw, was crap tonight and seems to be less postive. Also seems to not run back after losing the ball.
Lallana, has had one good game but then he is getting back from injury.

Yes they played well last season but that wasn't for their current teams. Some times it takes time, but sometimes a player won't suit another teams style of play. The fact is none are playing as well as last season so people have a right to have a dig.

But you are right about Pochettino being a tool.

He's a few pounds over weight but that is due to lack of match fitness. Still no way "3 stone overweight" like Harry said.
