Playing with passion we had yesterday the points coming to us sooner or later but the big question is: Do we play with such passion against villa...?????? If we go back to that sissyball we played previously we possibly lose 0-2
YES HE DID! One shot from the edge of the box was inches from the top corner with their Keeper beaten.
Fer who got a 4 from Col yesterday, and has been bereated by all and sundry here ...hit the post twice. Adel was on 23 minutes had two runs, gave away the ball at least twice and had an argument with one of our players (Charlie from memory) And we should get excited because he had a shot off target Vargas came on and scored twice yesterday in his cameo performance. And for the record Oslo, I would adore to see an Adel in all his pomp of three seasons ago... But my anger is that SUCH a talented player has thrown his gifts away....and why?
I can understand the frustration, but the anger on this thread comes from Arry's anger and words. His anger is from the frustration of a result and the pressure he knows he is under IMO. His words are less reliable than Jeffrey Archer's. You can condemn him for his West Ham cameo if you want but you're not doing it fairly - Vargas has missed chances in his games previously, Fer missed a sitter yesterday, Gerrard had an argument with his teammate yesterday. Undermining his apparent sense of purpose because the others were prematurely defeated is harsh since we've craved desire first and performance second. I've found a few stats on Eurosport - versus WH, he made most passes per minute, most shots per minute, was fouled as much as any player on our side. Stats aren't conclusive but they're hardly damning. Arrys words are just hot air. You'd get about the same content if you crossed out all the big words in a dictionary and then stuffed it through a shredder.
Brilliant post and fully agreed Taarabt easily looked the best player on the pitch against West Ham He is turning our own fans against a very good player that could help us
Lot of hot air from Harry all right and this time perhaps you? I never gave any opinion about how exited you get or not by Adel, simply that I thought, and many of his critics and admirers on here and the media thought, his was a positive contribution to an otherwise very bad performance at West Ham. I don't care what Col or anyone thinks - I thought Fer did all right too yesterday, 1st half anyway, and have posted this somewhere, others have too. So what, it's just opinion But one fact is, and it's not hot air is Harry has on a number of occasions now told untruths about Adel.. not his favourite player possibly! ;-)
Just watched Harry's post match interview and I've got to say I was impressed. Taarabt is a lazy sod and H was right to vent his spleen. Well done Harry!
No Beth just the match watched on video ... It was dreadful Taarabt is being targeted by Garold as an escape goat ... It's the same formula Harold always pulls IMO He did the same when he had the old squad from Hughes He played Adel then at exactly the same weight yet today he declares he wants him to lose three stone Come on ? Matt is 100% right v West Ham Taarabt looked lively for a player who had no match practice and produced a couple of good efforts Harold was even quoted as saying he did well in the post match He snapped its that simple and should regret his words and apologise. IMO Very poor stuff from Harold
Let's get this right, Harry is an idiot. I'm not sure what other industry has key people with an IQ lower than their own age and on top of that pay them millions of pounds for the trouble. This rant would be acceptable if he was aware of its impact on Adel, the club and the fans. Otherwise Redknapp is doing the club a disservice. Does anyone believe that this was a calculated Mourinho type rant. Designed to produce a positive situation? Or in actual fact is it the ramblings of a man who isn't very bright and was just blowing off steam and in typical style took the bait served up by a journo. The sad thing is, Adel is very unlikely to react well to this. It will set things back and in all likelihood cosrt the club money (transfer fee) and or points. More evidence of Redknapp's incompetence. This wasn't so much passion. It was a man cracking under the strain and pressure of a job he has performed terribly in (5 wins in 33 premier league games). Who ironically would have been in this position if for example he displayed such anger and animation at Spurs away instead of only getting up to wave at their fans. Anti-Adel mob are lapping this up. But let's remember how devoid of ideas and creativity we have been witth the exception of Liverpool performance. Bobby gets injured or Austin's dodgy knee goes and let's see if it's still considered a good idea to burn bridges by publicly humiliating the only player to show any fight passion or ability in our last away game. A player who recently explained his difficult satart to the season after his move to Italian giants a club where he excelled last year didn't go through. A player who has never been the best trainer but thrived and improved with game time and playing in a squad where the manager admitted none of them were fit as recently as 2 weeks ago. Even though they all had a pre-season which Adel was excluded from. Anti-Adel mob: be careful what you wish for...
I was there Oddball, accidentally I had a really good ticket 5 rows from the front. I saw how Rio did not jump for their goal, How Caulker turned on him. How distraught Traore was ( a player of limited ability, but one who cares) I saw at close hand the balls Adel lost, the go at Austin, the shot rather than the pass...the swagger at the end as he walked off, although his team had lost. Arry lost it to the camera, yes he did (in an ideal worl?d that was wrong) , I am glad he did ..it convinced me that he cares, and is near breaking point too...was he asked how he felt after his team had played their hearts out and still lost? Was he asked what he was going to say to Caulker and Dunne...no.....just why didn't he play Taarbs...an irrelevant question after that match! I would have snapped too. That is why I am so annoyed at this thread The best performance of the season...we were hard done by....but no....we have to talk about Taaaarbs. A player I loved to watch (I was there in the I love Tarbs team too) but not now HE WILL NOT SAVE US now...team spirit and togetherness will Leave it alone Oddball. Get on with supporting your team...JUST LIKE YOU IMPLORED US TO DO LAST YEAR
This all day long. So Peter, as you say there is the anti Adel mob, well maybe your in the Adel head in the sand mob... Trust me I would love to see a fit and motivated Adel donning the hoops and showing us more often than not the skills he has been blessed with. I don't think harry is talking s**t, why? Anyone who has read Neil Warnocks book will now know that our Adle is a total diva. I'm not saying I'm right on this but lets just agree to disagree on this without dissing fellow fans!
Is the friendly that Harry refers to the same one that he said Adel was the best player in a couple of weeks ago? If it is, then Harry is clearly contradicting himself.
I have been a consistent Adel fan. Ordinarily, I would say that Harry should have kept that kind of criticism for a one-to-one chat. BUT Harry was responding to the recurring Adel question, in an animated, emotional press conference (a welcome surprise in itself). I am sure the recent reserve team performance was at the forefront of Harry's mind rather than whatever happened in a cameo West Ham appearance. I can't believe that Adel has not has many, many one-to-one chats with various managers and coaches and his response has been truly awful, non-existent in fact. The furore surrounding Harry's comments might be the only thing to sting Adel into action and exploit his marvellous, god-given talent. Unfortunately, I doubt that will happen: amongst other things, Adel is arrogant, lazy and immature. Even I, an Adel apologist, am running out of patience with him and feel that this public tongue-lashing was well deserved and probably overdue.
DT, take off the rose tinted specs. He was ****e when he came on against WH & this weeks was very much a spirited TEAM performance. Your starting to sound delusional.
Indeed, it's obvious nothing else has worked, maybe this will. The fact is if a player won't perform for Redknapp they probably won't for anyone else either, Morrison is another example of a highly gifted moronic twat who has probably already ruined his career.
OK, I'm not making a statement by posting this but here is an interesting article... Adel Taraabt criticism from QPR boss Harry Redknapp sparked by player walking out of team meeting prior to Liverpool game Harry Redknapp’s criticism of Adel Taarabt after Sunday’s defeat to Liverpool was sparked in part by the Moroccan international walking out of a pre-match team meeting when he was not named in the team or on the bench for the game. The Queens Park Rangers manager is understood to have been furious before the game at Taarabt’s reaction to being left out. I must have been watching another game with a different guy who's 17 stone overweight moving the ball quickly and trying to inject some urgency into an otherwise limp performance. My mistake. All hail Arry the all-seeing. Up the now 24 man squad!
