Forget the foul. We seem to have a player who drives through defences like a tank and shoots as well as any striker in the Prem.
24th April 1930. David Jacks goal against us in the FA Cup Semi Final should have been disallowed because the ball was a foot over the line before it was crossed for him to volley into the net for the only goal. FA Cup 6th Rd at the Emirates, when already 1-0 up, we had a second goal disallowed because the home crowd howled rather loudly and the linesman therefore raised his flag for a very dubious off side decision. Not that I'm bitter or whinging (for tubbylard/tiger's benefit)
You won first prize in the embarrassment stakes on here months ago. 'Everyone else'? Does that mean you and your several alias ?
That's twice in this thread you haven't read the words in a post but instead made some up in your head.
Just to add to the list, they also owe us an FA cup after they scored from that corner which should have been a goal kick.
I was just about to post the same thing. Give us the FA cup and they can have the 3 points for yesterday.
No chance of that, it was Arsenals first trophy in 9 years and they celebrated like they had won the champions league.
Our free-kick for the 2nd goal was moved a good 10 or 15 yards forward from where it was supposed to be though
It was a foul but the ref didn't give it. No point arguing over it now. Hull defended well and fair play to them. We'll get you lot on the reverse fixture though
Players shepherding the ball out has been something I've complained about for a long time. The annoying thing is that this was a one off and the refs will continue giving it as a foul 99% of the time
I'm certainly with you on that - obstruction seems to be being phased out. For years it seems to have been quite acceptable (although annoying) within 5 or 6 yards of the dead ball line. Ian Goodison was a master at it for us but I could never understand why he wasn't pulled up for it. Elsewhere on the pitch it now seems to have been replaced by a direct free kick against the defender when the attacker runs into him and falls over - often resulting in a card for the defender. I can't remember the last time I saw an indirect free kick given and I'm not sure whether the rule has been changed.
Definitely **** 'em. **** their inspid fans and manager. If they lose or get an unfavourable result against a team like ours, there's always a condition. ****s. They'll not win the league for at least a generation.
I agree completely. However, it's got nothing to do with the Diame/Flamini thing. If you watch the replay, Flamini had every intention of playing the ball - and did indeed touch it even after he'd been manhandled.
