Archie have some decent facilities I think.

Although you make some great points I'm not sure they're for James Mooney specifically. You definitely should keep taking it to the club though.

I wonder about the group. How representative of fans is it, and how much is in Mooney's power to change anyway?

I think it's a good idea. You're never going to get a group fully representative of the fans unless you speak to every one of them so I think having volunteers and then sticking with those who have contributed in the early meetings works.

I agree about your second point though, Cortez has made some excellent points but really they're nothing to do with the marketing manager, they need to be relaid to the community department and probably Tigers Trust. I wonder if they could metings still headed up by Mooney and invite different department heads to various meetings so each area of the club is getting feedback.

I agree a fully representative group is a pipe dream, I'm just unclear if the existing group is representative at all.

The heads being present could be useful, or at least some indication they buy into the thing.

Does the fans liaison officer attend? Isn't a lot of this in their remit, or have I misunderstood that role?

Forgive me Dutch but you always seem to be sceptical about the representative-ness of City related fan groups. I don't know what you're hoping for and not seeing. Equally I dunno why you don't get involved with them.

I have no idea if it is or isn't, but I think there being three posters from this board attending meetings means as a board were pretty well represented.

I think it should really go without saying, a lot of the things people want to speak about aren't marketing related, there's plenty of retail, community and even financial and commercial ideas so it would make sense for them to at least speak to fans.

No idea, but you'd hope so.

I don't think sceptical's the right word, but I do believe anyone or anything claiming to represent fans are the ones needing to demonstrate proof.

As for joining, I've been asked, I'm waiting to find out what the groups are before deciding to take a more formal role, but if they're supposed to be representing me, aren't I already involved?

As I've already mentioned, I'm going and I'm representing me. I don't claim to speak on behalf of anyone unless, like Cortez, they have something they would like brought up. Whether James Mooney can action anything is a moot point but he is at least laying some foundations so I think he should be commended for it. There are those (me included) that think the club heirarchy couldn't give a toss about the fans so I appreciate the chance to speak to someone representing the club.
I may feel differently after the meeting but I wouldn't want to slate it if I had never attended.

I think people mistake me questioning things for being critical.

I keep saying that a strong voice from the fans within the club is very important. I'd say it's so important, we need to make sure it's as strong and representative as possible as well as enabling individuals to be listened to.

A strong group should welcome questions as an opportunity to expand on their position and to enable others to be involved, not feel offended at being 'doubted' or unappreciated. The more it's opened, who knows who could end up stepping forward? There are gifted people in many fields following City. It'd be good if some felt more attached to the club.

I don't post much on here but for the record I'm also attending this on Tuesday.
Not sure if that counts as 4 posters?

For what it's worth I agree with both MTG & Dutch's points above
The more balanced fan dialogue the better for me.

Who is the Not606 rep there and who decided? Whoever it is will probably be representing the largest group of people yet other than some individuals attending, I don't recall seeing a thread asking for questions.

What seems to happen is, people get invited, after asking to go, then they decide who they're representing, when clearly they're not.

Clearly, our owner agrees with it happening, or Mooney would never dare hold it, but I wonder what the Allam's really make of it.
