    just seen it now! if we have players doing things like that, no wonder we are gonna lose games 8-0! i think he tried to boot it towards the corner flag but caught it slighty on the inside of the front of the foot, resulting in it bending towards goal and nearly bursting the net!!! haha!

    Looking at it in real time there was either a huge spin or the ball reared up just at the wrong moment as he was about to launch it into row Z. No matter how you look at it it was just one of those things.

    Credit to Southhampton. They were promoted season before last, now they're looking better than Spurs or Everton and liverpool. While selling their so called best players. They're playing well.

    I did something similar playing for the school team! At that split second i think i thought that i probably wouldnt hit it a sweetly as i could and i just needed to get something behind it and might slice it out for a corner. Well I did hit it sweetly and i rattled my own crossbar!

    I once scored an own goal from the half way line with my head.

    It was on Oakeys Field in Stanley, the wind was blowing a gale in my face, their keeper threw the ball out, I headed it forward but up in the air, the wind got a hold of it and blew it over our keepers head into the net ffs. <steam>
