Joint record defeat! ffs. Unless they score again! This is embarrassing and the players should be refunding the fans for their travel
We have had these days before, and it doesn't get any easier to take 8-0, this has come out of the blue. Saints biggest ever league win on the cards.

****ing hell, joint record defeat. I was at the ****ing Watford one. Thought those days were over. I need alcohol.
If contact happens before the ball goes dead, Doesn't the ref use his discretion to say weather the ball could have been caught before it went out had contact not been made?
Looked a penalty to me. If the ball wasn't over the line when the keeper took fletcher out it was a foul in the box. If the ball was over the line then it was a goal kick and not a penalty. By the way... At least you know we're ****e and Southampton aren't that good
Only for a card. A foul is a foul regardless of whether a player would've caught the ball. (Did all about this in the FA badge a few weeks ago). It's not a case of whether the player would catch the ball... Only that a foul is committed if the ball is still in play
Wtf can you say about that? I must drink copious amounts of lager to numb the pain, really feel sorry for the 2600 fans that went A defeat like that could define our season, things can only get better!!!!
Ha! You keep dreaming mate, it ain't happening, we don't punch horses. I'll take an embarrassing defeat over that all day long. There's nowt as embarrassing as a mag believe me.
Fair play then, but I've seen Refs use their discretion in that way dozens of times. FA need sort that out, as it's clearly what's happened here, the contact can't be disputed meaning he could only have made is decision on what I've suggested.
