With the week just about over, the expected rumours involving the possible sacking of Harry Redknapp and subsequent hiring of Tim Sherwood or Tony Pulis has been in full force all through the media.

Some are calling for change; saying that a new face is needed to regain focus in the squad while injecting some much needed energy into a side where players are unfit, manager looks disinterested and not wanting to commit to the club beyond this season, and week by week is epitomized by poor performances, failed tactics, and lack of firepower.

Some are calling for no change; stating that stability is needed during a time where the club is going thru a tough stretch of the schedule and the season is not even reached 10 matches.

Those who say that no change is needed have cited that - regardless how you may feel about Redknapp - no manager is available who is better suited or fitted to get the squad going than Redknapp himself. Some question Sherwood's CV and if he is capable of handling a relegation fight, while others question Pulis and is possible inability to deal with our current boardroom setup in the long run.

In the case of Tim Sherwood specifically, some have stated that he's too inexperienced and incapable of dealing with the egos and constant rotation of players who all play similar positions - even though he just came off a campaign at Spurs replacing André Villas-Boas and posting a 50% Win percentage in 28 matches while juggling a lineup of egos with the likes of Adebayor, Erik Lamela, Étienne Capoue, Mousa Dembélé, Christian Eriksen, and Hugo Lloris. Additionally, some have stated that he is an arrogant (insert expletive) who needs to ply his trade in the lower leagues and prove himself to be worthy of managing top clubs in the Premier League and Championship Division.

Without taking side in the matter, all I'll say is that is a man who, in 28 matches, managed to save a possible sinking ship at Spurs while guiding them to a 6th place finish and Europa League birth. While the manner that he conducted business may have rubbed some folks the wrong way, he has proven to handle high-pressure situations. And with the lack of up-and-coming English managers knocking on the Premier League doorstep, I can see him getting another crack at a club in the near future. But, managing a club at the lower levels of English Football could be worth his while as he will stand to gain valuable experience in building a club with his input from the ground up.

Now back to Redknapp. This man is definitely on thin ice. The one who inherited a mountain of issues in 2012-2013 and couldn't lead us out of relegation. The one who subsequently did the unthinkable and turned a poisonous dressing room into one that was fighting for each other by the May 2014. The one who seemingly did a job in turning the villainous character of Joey Barton into one of inspiration and determination. The one who led us to a Wembley date that no modern-day QPR supporter will ever forget. The one who then seemingly flipped the roster over for the sake of now-seen failed tactics and lineup misjudgments. The one with the most disinterested looks on the sidelines as our club is repeatedly taken to the cleaners week in and week out.

Would change be good? One has to ask. Do we wait and fall into possible traps like we did with Hughes and hope it's not too late when change is made? Or do we ride the wave in anticipation that we can ride out our issues and move on to Premier League survival? If change comes, can the replacement work with the players that are currently in the squad? Or will there me more spending and debt to cover patches and issues? Will there be negative reactions in the dressing room if change comes? Or will change bring an level of energy and enthusiasm that has not been seen since May 24?

There are many questions, all with not so simple answers. So I end this with a few question to you...do we make a change? Or do we ride the course? What are your thoughts?

This looks a fair post to me Sir.

In the past Rangers took a chance on appointing relatively inexperienced young managers. Some did not suceed (Mullery, Waddock etc) whilst others are among our best managers (Jago, Venerables, Francis).

It is very rare that sucess can be achieved without takng calculated risks. Be that changing the man in charge or playing a team witgh ther instructions to attack & attempt to win the match.

It would appear with the recent additions of ex-Spurs senior staff (Hoddle & Sir Les), with Sherwood & Ramsey waiting in the wings, that the pieces have already been set place by Tony & Baird to facilitate a "mutually agreed" honourable (paid off) discharge for Harry, possibly citing medical concerns (ongoing knee issues), that will allow for a seamless transition of manager & coaching personnel (Harry + Jordan + Bond out), with a minimal of disruption to the team.

If Tony were aiming for Pulis, none of the above-mentioned appointments would really make any sense.

If we do not perform well against Liverpool on Sunday, I would anticipate such a transition plan to kick in early next week.

Everyone seem to think that we have a the choice of Sherwood and Pulis, everyone need to get a touch of realism.

Sherwood turned down Palace, why would he not turn down us, especially as they were in a much better position than we are now. Pulis only increased his credibility at Palace maybe he will hold out for a better positioned club than us.

Is it time for Harry to go ? Well I was in the camp for stability at the club and he should be given at least 10 games but to honest now I'm wavering towards give a new manager as may games as possible before the transfer window. We took a step forward in the loss against Southampton but for every one forward we are taking two back, looks bleak at the moment, no sign of it getting better either. Sorry Harry I think it maybe time to go, unless you start pulling off some miracles.

I was in the 10 to 12 games camp - but Harry looks like he's not interested and would rather be anywhere else from his body language. Maybe he'll step aside or move upstairs, seems to be some movement from the board anyway.

    Nice one Rafa.

Just heard Moyes on the wireless. He's ready to work, and not necessarily for a club in Europe, but one that he can build a team at.

Doesn't sound like QPR to me.

Harry has not being interested from day one! Throughout the relegation season he constantly refered to the club as 'they' etc. Yes credit for last season, but it was hardly convincing. I had high hopes that he would be motivated more by being back in the big time this season, but the body language is giving his game away!

Debate is good. But what position are you taking? It would be nice to know. I thought we knew where we all stood on the question to end all questions. At least I thought I did until many of Flyer's most vehement critics appeared to decide that he was closer to the truth than they had been at any stage in the last 14 months. I haven't actually read any of them stand up to defend their man in the last couple of weeks. Instead the debate is all about who should replace him and how soon the axe will fall.

A lot of the problem is that he has never really been "QPR" from day 1, it was almost the last resort coming to us and he gave the impression that we were not worthy of his talents. Apart from the brief improvemnt during January of our relegation season he did bugger all to stave off the drop, the football was insipid, the motivation non existant, the man management disappeared, yet these were the very things that Harold built his reputation on.

Last season he gave the impression that he would rather be anywhere else instead of W12, again the football was generally poor, the tactics unfathomable, the team selections came from a weekly draw out of a tombola, to paraphase the OBZ song we had Charlie and 2 crocks up front, we had more loanees that most other clubs put together and we got lucky on OBZ day.

Yes I was happy that we had a day to remember but Harold should have gone then, he would have had his reputation in tact and the thanks of pretty much every R's fan. Now however all goodwill has gone and if we have a shocker on Sunday it could be the Saints game at LR in November 12 all over again, the atmosphere that day was poisonous.

TF will not sack him but as has been said on other threads we can not afford relegation, but that is where I expect us to end up with Harold in charge....It's a tough one to answer, but the body language being displayed by him at the moment is not positive and that has to translate on to the pitch, he is too negative and becoming a parody of himself.....I feel he should go.

Personally I would like to see stability. So for the moment, I want Harry to stay. But, If performances continue being lackluster with horrific results, then I certainly wouldn't mind seeing a change. Seems like the pieces are falling into place for a Sherwood appointment. Say what you want about Tim, but what I did enjoy him bringing to Spurs last season was a sense of urgency and enthusiasm; something our side currently is lacking across the board all around.
