    I did. And it was true when I said it back in December, when you'd just been panned by Hull, were clinging on to fourth place by your fingertips, and Sturridge was the one scoring all your important goals.

    It wasn't until January that he went on a run of scoring important goals and picked you up the 10-15 points that moved you away from scrapping with 4th for Everton and up to 2nd.

    It's just such a crying shame that he reverted to type for the last three games of the season, going missing against Chelsea and blazing over at Palace when it would have been easier to score. On such misses do titles turn into tears <ok>
