With Chambers going for just a bit under £20m what price do you think we could get for our little starlet given the rave reviews and performances he's been delivering?

My view has changed recently and, given that he is an offensive type of player I think some teams may consider paying £20m for him... I honestly do...

Assuming a) the likes of Chelsea don't buy him to do that ridiculous loan thing they do and b) he puts in the performance of his first appearance consistently...

Then it comes down to market forces. Arsenal, Chelsea do not need him for definite, Liverpool have already spunked so much money away on potentially the same kind of players, while Man Utd and Man City could perhaps do with some back-up in the wide-left position, but he's not ready/good-enough for either.

That already rules him out of a multi-million pound deal for me, so I think our chances of retaining him for the foreseeable are high so long as we stay in the division, unless Spurs randomly decide they want an Aarons-type (unlikely). I'm willing to make the bet we keep him for the next two years at least, at which point he'll either be a crock, have regressed like every youth player before him (sell for a couple of million/loan to Birmingham etc), or he'll become a great player and the clubs I've mentioned pay £25 million + for him.

This can be summed up in one word in these parts, "Pardewed". Just looking after the skin on your fingertips.

We'll find out as soon as Ashley sells him, which he will if the kid turns out to be any good consistently.

To be fair, I think our youth coaching, and probably first-team coaching staff should get most of the stick with regards to player development, but poor Pards is the fall guy...

That is not the idea of the "Blame Pardew" game. Everything and anything wrong at Newcastle United or the world in general is Alan Pardew's fault. Everyone knows this.

Its too late its already set in too far. He asked him to work hard just before his injury. Clearly this is just curbing his attacking enthusiasm and he should be allowed free rein to do as he pleases. You don't see Messi working hard afterall.................

Young, has some talent and is English. Probably could get somewhere between 12-15 million in this insanely stupidly overpriced transfer market.

Agree with this, unless a bidding war starts, but that's unlikely

No more than £1M! Hardly played first team football. Could go on to be a Sterling or a Franny Jeffers! Risk at more than that.

Of course the more he plays, the more likely this figure will go up!

Obviously we are excited about him but come on.. he has played about 20 mins of prem football. Right at this moment he is worth nowt apart from optimism.

Chambers is quality by the way. He will be a big player for Arsenal and England with a bit more experience.

Players like chambers, chamberlain, Lukaku had zero prem experience yet transferred for big money... In today's market teams pay daft money if you are English.

They had actually all played first team football though! Until this season, Aarons hadn't!
