Lee Brown was in England C starting line up today and played the full 90 minutes against Turkey in Istanbul. Unfortunately the result wasnt great losing 2-0 but the experience must have been good for Brown. Tom Parkes was due to play as well but was sent home on Saturday evening after travelling to Heathrow, meeting up with the England squad. He was checked over and wasnt deemed fit to travel due to having a slight concussion that he received that same day in the game at Aldershot.

I've heard a rumour flying around that Parkes didn't want to go away for the C team as he didn't see the point in it, it has been well documented in the past of international players asking the club boss to get them out of it.
i dont believe the rumours. he was subbed off after a bang on his head in our game. he was forced off under the new head injury rules. he travelled to heathrow to meet up with the rest of the squad. he could have quite easily said no when at aldershot saving the journey to heathrow but he didnt. he was checked over at heathrow and was found unfit. nothing in this smells of him not wanting to go. just my opinion though.
