I agree on the best since Dicks comment.

As far as Cotterill being enticed away, it would be in his interest to consider this.
In the 35 years I have supported Bristol City I have rarely seen a manager so completely perfect for the dynamic of this club, from his accent to his approach, from his encouragement of the kids to his treatment of the fans, and from his love of playing the game right to his energy and enthusiasm. And for his results both on and off the pitch regarding the club.

Would he find that elsewhere ? Would he get the gratitude and financial backing of the board and major shareholder at say Fulham, or Spurs ?
Or would the pressure and a few misunderstood comments (that we now understand as a quirky sense of humour) be a knife for his back ?

Cotterill is nobody's fool, and I really believe that he is here to stay.
    Onwards and upwards

I total agree. He is a great fit for the club and I very much doubt he would find that anywhere else personally. His ambition is to take us up and I would expect him to finish the job. The concern is that would make him even more marketable. If a Prem side then comes calling, it would be difficult to resist-

cotts is on a mission with the Lansdowns and that is to take city to the premeirship:1980_boogie_down:

We finally have a manager that can take us up, and then have the experiance to take us up again.

I would be very suprised if he goes elsewhere very suprised.

At present he is walking on water and well done to him<applause><applause>

I agree and long may it continue but things can change relatively quickly.

Sure we said in the recent past the same about GJ.
And also the YTFC fans who have always idolised GJ but they certainly don't any more.

Again, it sounds like we're running before we can walk.

We're doing well in the JPT and in the league. I can't see why that dynamic cannot continue, even with this injury. Ideally, we'd have a bit more rotation in a number of areas. Cotterill doesn't seem afraid of rotation, so it might just be that he doesn't rate some of our fringe players.

Despite being a good League 1 team, I don't think we're close to being a good Championship team. The gulf in quality grows each year, and I reckon to be to the level we want to be we'll need significant investment in a number of areas.
