Good Morning Everyone, Driving in this morning (in my shiny sports car) I was listening to Talksport There was a journo (and Leeds fan) James Brown talking to Alan Brazil. After summing up the weekends sport, they got onto the subject of Leeds. Brown compared Celino's signings in the same matter of Wenger's at Arsenal. He went on to say that half of his signings could play in the top half of the Prem, and gave an even higher accolade to Silvestri! Thoughts? McDermott has been speaking to the papers about his time at Elland Road. He believes that he was just a year away from transforming the club. He believes the Leeds fans are 'unbelievable' He looks forward to coming back to Elland Road. Cellino could soon face an unprecedented charge of misconduct from the Football League. The League’s board, has "lost patience with the Cellino camp over the long delay in receiving the written reasons why Cellino was found guilty by a Sardinian court of evading import tax duty on his yacht." The view of the FL directors is that Cellino and his representatives "are involved in withholding the six-page judgement by Sardinian judge Dr Sandra Lepore." Lepore’s findings "are reported to say Cellino acted with ‘elusive intent’" in evading the £305,000 ($490,000) duty when his boat The Nelie moored in Cagliari. That "would be enough to deem Cellino to have acted dishonestly, and so fail the League’s owners and directors test"
Morning Elland and co. Listened to the McD interview and as always came across as a nice guy. However he's deluded Im afraid and of course made no reference to some of the dross he signed. Another year would not have made a blind bit of difference except maybe to have got us relegated. How about poor Raheem. Poor sod is tired. San Marino game just have been a huge drain. Woy said it was fatigue after that. What an absolute load of bollox. Works max three hours a week at 19 years of age. Ive seen how these guys train and I could damn nearly manage it. Am I the only one not in the slightest bit worried about Cellinos future?
Good motning frrom a very dull Cote de Bardsey. To Matt and his merry men I agree that Beluscoli and Silvestri have been outstanding infact I stuck my neck out and said that Silvestri could prove to be trhe best stopper we have had in the 64 years or so I have watched them Still think we need some wide boys so I am looking forward to see Brian play talking of which is the game on Sky on Friday does anybody know if so Redjock I will be at the New Inn if you are interested. Looking forward Neil to seeing you and your good lady on Sat MC far to quick and bright for the FL I have no worries on that outcome so stop worrying its not worth while As for BM the only player worth anything Smith was the one I gave him the rest have been poor Finally should a rapist be allowed to play football again after refusung to acknowledge his offence I am talking about Ched Evans who is going to be freed this month and wants to rejoin Sheff U MIKE
I agree with James Brown, I think Bianchi would shine in the prem not as physical and he would get more time on the ball. If he stops his smoking then his pace and stamina will improve massively
Morning, Rotherham game is live on Sky Friday 7.45, now sold out 12,000 capacity including 2,000 Leeds Becchio won't be playing as he's broken his ankle and is out for three months
Thank You Forza I will go to New Inn Incidentally I have been offered a playback machine free by Talk talk I am always sceptical about free anything as anyone else been offered this deal I am sceptical because I negotiated free broadband unlimited with TalkTalk about 6 years ago and I wondered if this would now bve recinded I asked them this and they denied that it would affect the deal Now to some other bargains buy 114 tablets of Finish classic dishwasher tablets for £7.95 works out at less than 7p eacha real bargain bought 6 packs so far from FarmfoodsI got them for my children and me
Correct me if i am wrong but is the max penalty for a misconduct charge just a fine. Anyone enlighten me ?
A task so big that it is beyond anyone posting here. Many have tried, not one has ever come close to suceeding.
I'm my humble opinion this will be a can of worms for the FL,in proving MC acted "dishonestly". I'm sure he acts on advice from his lawyers so is it not possible that he acted with "elusive intent" to not pay the tax on his yacht by buying it through a company thinking this was a perfectly legal tax avoidance measure (I say this without knowing Italian tax laws of course). The point being he could claim to have bought through his American company thinking it would save him the tax legally. I guess the FL would then have to prove that he (or his advisors) knew no such tax avoidance scheme existed. As for McD, always seemed a nice guy, he may believe he was a year away from transforming the club. I might believe the moon is made of gren cheese - it don't make it a fact. We'll never know but good luck to him in his new role. I'll look forward to him recommending Jimmy Kebe to Arsene.
Two things ... shame for listening to Brazil/Talksport ... enough of the McD bashing, he was unlucky to have been in charge during Bates/GFH and all the negativity that brought, such as players not being paid, wages being deferred, etc. As for Cellino, bottom line is if he is found to have been dishonest, he will be forced to sell Leeds, and all the cheese on the moon won't change that Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Fear not folks, if the FL were actually going to win this argument, then Cellino would sell his control to ...... Cellino jr. Stop worrying and what a waste of time that cnut Harvey is. Harvey isn't sharp enough to catch MC and don't put it past MC suing the FL for defamation of character, and destabalising the club in the eyes of it's creditors, customers and future value. Cellino will have the FL running for the hills, this isn't some creep shyster like Bates we're talking about. This is a successful international businessman with interests on 3 continents and a worth of the odd billion
Hello Billy. Not sure if this is all in response to me. Not sure I was 'bashing' McD merely pointing out that his comments about turning us around in a year is just his opinion on what he thought he could do, not a fact of what he would do. We'll never know, but I'd have been ecstatic if McD, Warnock, Grayson, ( including Hockaday and Dgarko) got us to the premiership. I accept the attempted humour about Kebe was pretty lame. On the FL, not sure they can force MC to sell his they haven't been able to with Carson Yeung or the Oystons but I guess they could remove our membership which could be just as worrying.
As all can see MC doesn't have no win no fee lawyers, he has top end, expensive briefs to hand in whatever jurisdiction he happens to be. (Bet David Haigh wishes he had) These lawyers will not fook around and if it means threats to take them to court, backed up with evidence of past failings (Other directors who got away with it ...) it would be seen as what is known as 'custom and practice' which is now to be used as evidence. The FL need to shut the **** up and when MC buys back E$R next month how will that make the FL look. How can they say this guy isn't fit, when its obvious to all that he is the only owner in a dozen years who has spent money, paid club debts, made money, bought players made investments in the club, ..... oh and one of those failures was Harvey himself. Cockroach
McDermott tried to gamble on signings that offered some experience, yet were going to be huge gambles whether they worked out or not. If a few of his gambles paid off, he'd still be boss today. He was not given 1st choice of players he wanted, more like 4th choice. Sadly none of his signings seemed to pay off. Kebe and Stewart were the last straw for me. How we offered Stewart a 3 year deal is beyond anyone? How we got out of that one, even Houdini would have been proud!
OH and by the way how can the boss of the FL talk after 2 different high court judges called him a lair!!!! how the hell does the FL give a known liar a job as boss? A QC also accused him of being less than open with the truth in another high court case and a football league inquiry. He was also branded a liar by the commons select committee for sport and media, so who is fit and proper???
