Not many 2 bed houses with gardens in the Prinny/Chants/Avenues area. I lived on Newstead Street for sevral years until last summer and loved it round there. You can get something for £70k upwards.

Can you buy a whole house in the Avenues? I'm surprised it's not all turned into flats by now.

Just about to leave a wet London and drive up to a sunny Hull. Thanks for all the info we will definitely give the Avenues a close look. Might give Beverley a wide berth.

Don't know why everyone is ****ting on Beverley.. It's a very nice place to live and ticks a lot of boxes in terms of places to drink and eat all week round.

Beverley's a great place to live, the only drawback is that you don't get much for your money.

A nice period two bed will cost about £250k.

Yes, agree to this so don't add to the 50% who live in the East Riding council area .

Funny how someone who leaves Hull to live in Lincolnshire is hailed as a Hull lass when they win a TV show.

From living in Florida and coming back to Hull that is one hell of a downgrade my friend. No disrespect of course as Hull is my place of birth and will always hold something special by way of memories but it is far from being the home town I knew. I have a beautiful view and live in a town with over twenty Pubs, Clubs and Restaurants as well as 3 supermarkets and shopping centre. The only thing I miss is home-town Fish and Chips, Sausages and Hull City of course. Each to his own but you don't say how old you are so it is difficult to advise. I wish you and yours all the best and hope you find what you are looking for.

Better house, better view and 17 miles from the KC. I win.
