AJ is now in strict austerity for Cheltenham game on 11/10/14. I so rarely get up to Shrewsbury I am going to Pay £65 + vat for a days hospitality at the club. this includes VIP parking, welcome drink, 3 course lunch , ticket and a padded seat, an all day pay bar, a chance to vote for MOM and to witness the presentation. for me as a 1 off this will be my highlight of the year, my 2 "lucky STFC" loggerheads bears go free and I shall wear my 1975 loggerheads tie. I know I have given the chairman a certain amount of grief over the last 7 years about that "ruddy Awful" badge, hopefully he will think I am another old bugger up from the sticks. happy o share his hipflask though. mine of malt whisky is bound to be miniature. Floreat Salopia! I know this hospitality is aimed at the businessman and their clients, but just for a few hours AJ will be a businessman again. must try not to hit a Bentley whilst parking!
I have been gifted hospitality on 2 occasions but I doubt whether I would have paid that amount, myself. Nevertheless, a good afternoon out, and compared to last season, many more of the powers that be to meet and greet you (not Matt Williams unfortunately). One thing I notice, they do not advertise a backroom tour now. Shame if they have stopped this. Enquire about it AJ but enjoy.
the same deal is on offer for Norwich game at bargain reduced price of £45 + vat. same benefits and terms
AJ has won £25 on lotto last night. I have received an invoice from the club's office so my cheque is off tomorrow for hopefully a great days entertainment at the meddah on 11/10/14. just hope we can beat Cheltenham. at least my short legs have not got to worry about parking. look for the Bentley and park my executive de luxe power glide 14 year old Daewoo Matiz next to it. it will be a once in a lifetime experience for me
just a brief report having sampled the hospitality on Saturday, great meal, free pint and loved Brian Dunn mine host receiving me in reception and knowing I was Atcham Jack from Devon. I was looked after through out and shown to a seat with an excellent view. my 2 "lucky" STFC teddy bears loved being lofted skywards on 3 occasions to celebrate the goals. many thanks Andy Tretton for your help and many thanks Brian Dunn and colleagues for such excellent hospitality. would I take hospitality next time I come up? try and stop AJ!
