You behaved like a twat, so I think it's only fair that I treat you like one. You can go to http://www.citytillwedie.com/ and click on 'donate'(though if you want to double our resources, you'll have to donate thousands), alternatively you can follow Kempton's suggestion and donate to Dove House. Maybe engage brain next time.
Well I know that he appeared in the article along with someone who has something to do with CTWD...and I know that he made the comment about real fans....I made a mistake and have held my hands up..for which I shall donate a small gift to Dove House...All right..if you want to go on all night, be my guest...But frankly I couldn't give a toss if you do....
Back to the actual subject of the thread. Bruce and the Allams should be working their conkers off now to get Robertson to extend his contract to the longest period possible. If we could hold on to him for say three years, we might be selling the best left back in the Prem (who would still only be in his early twenties). The fee we would then demand could shift this club up to a new level.
Good. I didn't know that, but the longer the better. If the contract is for 3 years we will be under pressure to sell after two. We need to be able to play hard-ball like Blackburn did with us.
Is the option for a fourth in our hands? If so, trigger it as soon as possible, if we could sell him with 2 years left on his deal at the end of next season he'd surely be worth buckets.
Why all this talk of selling? As soon as we become Melton Tigers our revenue streams will put us on the same financial level as Real Madrid.....
I'll address the (I assume) serious part of this: if we got anything over 30m for him we should sell because an extra 30m revenue for a club like us would be ridiculously important and as long as it was invested properly, could set this club up to do quite well. With guys like him, Lenihan, etc. if we can get huge value for them we can begin reinvesting it in other young players and effectively get the same business model as Southampton, where they produce top line talent each year out of their academy which they then sell and reinvest in other young players and other quality for their first team. The impact of Robertson as one player staying with us is not as big as what the 30m we get for him could potentially have on the club.
