Estonia weren't a lot better than San marino and we looked hopeless. Can't say any one player played well ( hart is excused)

Too bad we'll qualify from this group easily. The only difficult games are the ones against Switzerland and by winning the away game already means England are almost certain to top the group.
Too bad because beating the **** out of San Marino and struggling against 10 man Estonia will be quickly forgotten and Woy will come away with 100% record in qualifying, giving him yet another 4yrs in the job.

The game today was just awful.
Rooney, except for the freekick, was a blackhole of rubbish with the build up play suddenly disappearing when the ball came to him.
Welbeck, was he even on the pitch?
Wilshere, Delph and Henderson, why play all 3 against Estonia?
Baines and Chambers couldn't manage a decent cross between them all game.

Only Lallana looked like he might do something (Can't knock the CB's or Hart either since they didn't do anything wrong).

Surely these two games were the time to overload the forward line and go for some confidence boosting big win. Instead we've been served with more Woy ****.

We are lucky we are in such a poor group we have been shocking. Few players to come back into the team so not got much hope we will improve too much more but you never know. England are not doing much to win back the support of the fans, Wembley won't be getting a full house for awhile yet

Oh look nobody agreed with tobes on England's brilliance.... Not surprised

England lacked shape and drive, not enough wide, not enough talent. Still not quite sure where well back wanted to play cos against a side like this you've gotta go at goal not hang round out the park

So anyway..... Anyone think back in the 1990s or even 10-12 years ago the press and public would have hung hodgson from the rafters 2 years ago never mind now

I think the press know the public now don't give a damn and so nobody really cares.

This euros will end in tears at the group stages. We all know it but you can bet your arse the guys on Sunday supplements will bullshit publicly about qf to sf and how great and young our team is.

Honestly pre World Cup heart says win it head says qf.... And they still have a job!!!!

Caught the last 20 of this for whatever reason. What an absolutely riveting game of football! But no, so so so so so so bad from England, making heavy weather of that Estonia team, not because of form or anything but because the team have the collective spark and overflow of ideas of a cardboard box.

As the guy next to me asked, who are the alternatives? Hodgson's the manager because the FA wanted an English one and his multi-lingual deception got him in the hotseat, he might be fluent in six languages but he's a ****ing beginner at football management. Then the other problem is there aren't any other players, such a dearth of English talent in this game, it's pathetic really, a dire situation.

I think that team ain't actually bad, well that bad

With an effective 4-5-1 cos Rooney will play anywhere but up front and well back vacating the box it was like watching lfc playing with badontelly. Sorry Rodgers but you royally ****ed the start of our year and hodgsons Bering ass ****ing our chances fir 4 years

You just want them to be themselves, press high up, get wider, make good runs. This back passing nonsense must end sometime

But I do admit in prior generations you'd have 6-8 cbs and our only real area of concern historically was left wing

Now we are lucky to scrape 3 cbs up let alone have a choice of good uns. Same at full back same up front, same in cm

Whilshire is watching videos well whoopee.... Honest to god nobody actually cares now

I found this a funny notion, Woy is making Wilshere watch vids of three players, Alonso, Pirlo & Masca, that he has no chance of emulating and have completely different styles to Wilshere, not to mention to each other.

Wilshere doesn't have the Vision & passing ability of Xabi, the intelligence of Pirlo or the commitment & tenacity of Masca. These are the attributes that set these three players apart from the rest and none of these would be how you describe Wilshere.

Arsenal have realise Wilshere is not suited to the holding CM and have moved him forward to play closer to the strikers. But of Course this is England & Woy and nothing says that more than playing a player out of position for a role they aren't suited for to accommodated Rooney.

To be fair, it is a skill to be able to talk fluent ****e in six different languages.

I'm not sure that the problem is a dearth of talent- there are some pretty good players there. Perhaps not up with the world's best, but certainly good enough to see off most of the teams we're up against.
The problem is with management (it almost always is)- selection, tactics and motivation.
It's an art form that only a few really get right.
    Woy isn't one of them.

It's like this, the games we've had are league 2 and conference standard and we have what I'd call a lowercorem team standard of player

England have a top 4 keeper, cb and midfielder or two and Rooney, maybe sturridge and sterling if lfc get back there

After that though not much so that's why it's bad. 10 years ago England's first 11 would be much more heavily involved in trophies and cl games

Hodgson has Orem players struggling v league 2 opposition

One last thing about this miserable international week

Every reds fan has seen sterling fall over chances each game lately. If we drop the Roy is an idiot stuff we will see this little protection of sterling is good for us

Woy isn't and idiot he is a dinosaur

Absolutely ****ing atrocious. Can't believe I wasted any part of my life witnessing that ****. Why is it that every time that sack of **** Rooney touches the ball, the commentators gush about him, especially that useless cockney-irish ****house?

Why the **** have we indulged Rooney by building a team around him (plenty of jokes about his spheroid, planet-like girth aside) at least three years too late? Luckily, we don't have to play a 'big' team for nearly two years; till then it'll just be a case of hoping our players don't get injured and 'enjoying' the blame other players from other clubs fest that England internationals now are for fans of every club.

Phil McPillock has been writing his usual unique brand of horseshite on BBC as well trying to talk up another awful display by England and the team captain. His excuse being that Rooney came up with the 'quality' when it mattered, failing to mention that any moderately competent keeper would have saved the free kick and that was his first, and only, free kick that he didnt balloon miles over the bar so the law of averages suggested he'd get one on target.

The fact that the keeper was clearly not very good makes it all the more damning that that was pretty much the first effort he had to try and save.

Do you recall how many free kicks Beckham took against Greece before he scored the 'miracle goal'? <laugh>
