..... the first half of Scotland v Georgia halftime score 1-0 the young lad has put in at least half a dozen quality crosses.
If you search Andy Robertson on Twitter, it's full of comments on how he won't be here next season. Which is a big compliment to SB and the young lad.
I can't be the only one getting miffed about how every ****er is telling us how he won't be here for long because we're not good enough for him?
How come Jordan Rhodes isn’t the Scotland squad? They’re hardly blessed with centre forwards and according to Blackburn, he’s supposed to have market value of 12m +.
cause naismith is better and fletcher always plays well fot scotland, a different player than at sunderland
Final score 1-0 the lad did good. Two mistakes one that could have led to a goal but his recovery speed was enough and conceded a corner.
Couldn't help but think Stephen Fletcher looks old enough to be Andy Robertson's dad. Only 7 years between them !
I remember a few years a go full back was probably the least important and least talked about on the field. Now with the lack wingers and the football has developed full back is probably the hardest and most important position on the field.
Thought he looked outstanding. Everytime he went on one of his top-speed runs down the left you could almost hear the crowd going aaahhhh. Just wish he would keep going into the box or cutting across more. And why is he not taking the corners from the right side for us...those hard inswingers would cause all kinds of problems.???
I'm not entirely sold on Strachan's ability as a manager but it does seem remarkable that a player we were after for 10m plus (and much coveted in general) is behind the likes of Chris Martin and Steve May. I presume Strachan's seen more of him than SB and all of us, so if he's deemed not good enough for Scotland...
True. Think it changed, in the modern game, with those Brazilian wing backs of the 90s (can't remember names now). Back when I started watching football, the (cultured) left back was about the top of the full back scale - the type who'd take free kicks and score on occasion from outside the box.
Just a matter of time before he moves onwards and upwards - just like the other two great left-backs in my time watching City. Yes, they left us for Rotherham and Scunny.
