Surely no one deserves the man of the match after that embarrassing defeat.

I feel your thoughts but....the competition is about giving the best three, even on the back of a bad result :)

So as difficult as it is...

1. Bywater - the score could have been so much worse, always shows passion to get on with the game, Nelson is waiting in the wings and may soon jump in, but hey they are both professionals.

2. Egan - the most solid Gills player on the pitch

3. Linganzi - might seem strange this choice to some, despite his efforts coming to nothing, but at least he did try to make a difference.

Bywater was first class. Linghanzi and Egan were the least bad of the remaining lethargic bunch.

1. Davies - Despite the scoreline he had a good game.
2. Bywater. For the second week running kept down the score - but outplayed by two fantastic saves by the opposing keeper.
3. Egan. He & Davies had their work cut out - not just because of Loft's dismissal - but because of the lack of midfield help.

Not an easy top 3 as no one stood out but
Egan again ( will b hard to keep him next season as should be playing at a higher level)
Mcglastion at least he trying going forward
Bywater for keeping the score down to only 3
All and all a poor match from Gills with no quality or heart, going to be a long season if we continue in this form. Who would have said how we missed Hause at the back after his first few games for Gills. Desperate need Kedwell back as we are pi** poor at front.

I am not sure anyone deserves praise, I nearly chose 3 unused subs who at least looked OK as they warmed up! But here are my 3
1. Egan
2. Davies
3. Bywater

As there where no stars in the team today I have gone for work rate, this doesn't mean they were effective but then no one was.

1. Dack.
2. Egan.
3. Martin.

This was the hardest choice in a long while. The match was so shocking and it is hard to say that anyone played well. I don't think I would say any of these were over a 6 out of 10 but this is the top 3 for me.

1. Egan- Probably the only one I wasn't annoyed with. He did try but shame the rest of the team didn't want to do the same. It will be hard to keep him as he is a class above this level.
2. Linganzi- I would actually say he had an alright game when he come on. Pritchard didn't have a great game and went off. I do rate Pritchard but I just think he struggled a bit probably still getting fit. Linganzi did alright few good passes not much else but then there was not much to pick from.
3. German- This one was really hard to choose from, I thought between Davies and Bywater initially but then went with German as although he come on as a sub later on he actually did more than Cody did in the whole game. He did try to make some runs and get involved but the team didn't get the ball to him enough. Although I do not rate German I praise him for actually working for the team and trying to do something.
Davies was close behind he done alright but went with German because of the effort he put into change the game and I thought I would say something good about him as a lot of people (Including myself) have been negative about him.
I don't think I could warrant including Bywater as I think he made a mistake for the first goal as he was coming for the ball then slipped and hesitated. I hope to see Nelson start next Saturday and hopefully we will put in a good display and win an away game as it is about time that we won away again otherwise we are going to be in a lot of trouble if we lose again.

As others have stated , hard to choose after such a poor display, however have gone with:

1. 3 points (Man of the Match) - Egan
2. 2 points (2nd best performing player) - Davies
3. 1 point (3rd best performing player) – Martin
