Well i can't say to much on the Dame hannah issue, but we are not back there at present.. but will be soon.. We are in discussions now. but to be honest they have kept us informed from the day they closed down.. it will all come out soon as to why it happened as i am sure some one will spill it out.. i don't intend to tell anyone anything as it will get twisted and then its upsetting for the parents.. But fingers crossed we will be back to normal soon as there is nothing else in this town for children with complex needs. its a great place with great people running it.. I was awaiting the results of the police enquiry to say wether or not we intended to return , but as i am aware now of the outcome we are and have told them we will go back.. just a matter of waiting for the Ofsted to say when as it has opened but not for short breaks yet. There has been a lot of rubbish put out there about the goings on and all i can say as its all untrue, just gossip and rumours. Its jus so distressing for the families and the children who need the support.. its been a tough 2 months with no breaks . but we have had help from the Authorities.. Yes i do a bit of work, but tea is essential in the industry.. no tea no work.. yes i bet your an expert in that dept! Yes we pay our accountants alot to do all our stuff and keep a check on the goings on.. its worth it as i can get on with the real work.. instead of sat in the office ..
Glad to hear things will be back to normal with the school Joe. Don't want you to spill any beans was just interested to hear if it helped or not. I have never had any dealing with the place although am aware it has been providing help for a lot of years now. Only place I ever came into contact with was a place in Taunton called Princess Margaret School. When I was on HMS Hecate we adopted the place for our Commission charity thing which a lot of Ships do. Reason that one was picked was because HMS Hecate was a Survey ship and the Hydrographer of the Navy was in Taunton. We used to go up there in a coach around 3 times a year to take up the collection we had achieved and visit and muck in with the kids. The kids were fantastic and had us running around the corridors, literally, having races with them and their wheelchairs. They were bloody fearless and it was surprising nobody got killed the way we went through doors and the like. Somewhere I would never forget.
Sensible is right Joe, he and Plymborn were the only two afraid to say no ..... the mind boggles picturing you being a mod
I'm still here so don't start being rude. I have done my SAS training but I'm not sure if having the ability to restart the mission with one click of the mouse if you get shot in the first 10 seconds exists in real life. I imagine not so I'll stick to buying global companies and giving you lot much needed financial advice, it's much safer on most occasions. I've been reading your posts avidly (sometimes as a guest). I nearly posted about the council loan to PAFC but by the time I got there, it had degenerated into another insurgent attack. Trouble is anyway that unless you have inside information, it's 90% speculation anyway. Press releases are carefully designed to obscure a minimum of five times as much as they reveal. I have a sneaky suspicion that the result against Swindon could be because Sheridan got the tactics right on this occasion with a 3:5:2. I'll say no more. I'm intending to go to the Carlisle game if family matters allow so I might give you the pleasure of my highly un-informed and totally biased opinions then.
You're still alive and back from behind enemy lines notdistant.....hurray!!!!! Nice to hear from you again. I fear the insurgent attacks will continue at least for a while but we have Plymborn in the Mod room now. We just get him to phone them up and click his false teeth annoyingly so we think it could be the answer. Carlisle is a bit of a trek isn't it? Going by your private jet?
For all of you who couldn't get to the match on Tuesday .... video shows Luke's incredible save http://www.pafc.co.uk/news/article/argyle-v-swindon-matchday-moments-2006807.aspx Welcome back Notdistant you have been missed !
I did watch it and then wondered why I bothered. Thanks for the link but Plym is right on this one it is a bit pants. Who on earth filmed it? They need to practice a bit more I think. We should give the camera to lyndhurst and then he could record, do an eloquent commentary and amazing write up for the Boards as well and Essex would be well impressed. I'm not jealous he didn't mention my write ups honest I'm not.......(git). You'll have a tough act to follow notdistant if you want to match lyndhurst. Essex will give you a score out of 10 which will tell you if you can do it again or not.
ooh a little sensitive sensible- by the way the highlights on argyle player/swindon player at pretty good (though you obviously have to subscribe to get them....). Oh and good to hear from you Notdistant- I was beginning to think I was in a minority of one on here.
Just that of the regulars on here I suspect my politics and/or view of financial matters are more closely aligned to Not distants. When he is not around I am more exposed to bullying by the rest of you misanthropes
"bullying"? Listen you Boardroom groupie nobody bullies anyone around here. WTF is a misanthrope? Sounds like an insult to me. I hate people who use words like that.
