Wasps get green light for switch to Coventryâs Ricoh Arena (There may be trouble ahead.......) http://www.theguardian.com/sport/20...lete-takeover-ricoh-arena?CMP=EMCNEWEML6619I2
My reasons for starting this thread were: 1/ Sympathy for Coventry City, who've been pissed about with; and 2/ Pointing out how lucky Hull City is - it could never happen to this club, could it?
More sympathy for the Wasp's supporters who will have to travel 100 miles to see their team play at home. It could never happen to this club, could it ?
It'll be a real shame for High Wycombe and the football team too. Both the football team and Wasps had been engaging with the council to build a new ground up the A40, but it was blocked at various stages and this is the end result. Not too sure about "it couldn't happen to this club" theoretically it could happen to any sporting club of almost any sport....if anything we should be looking at the Coventry and Wasps situations and for once be glad to be City.

Sneakily dropping the london bit in june to move the team to coventry. Don't see how it could benefit the team. Maybe less rent but there will be less people through the gates.
