Away tonight in another cup game thingamy ,are we better off concentrating on the league ??? I think we are .As the supporters money can only go so far and support is best for the club where it is bread and butter.
We could get knocked out tonight and suffer and injury which could put a player out for weeks or the season.
I do not get why we have to play so many non league games, in the hope of getting Man U or Chelsea to get a money game .
The season always seems to start with A Saturday, Tuesday Saturday Tuesday etc. Why ?? cramming in everything, surely the League is upmost and the FA cup, given a run.
So Rant over this is just to get opinions , am I the only one that feels like this or are we better off playing in everything that can be thrown at us for a one off chance, instead of concertrating on the long term ??

Would be nice if that win AT Col U tonight gets the away hoodoo off our back. I know technically it was a draw, but it was against pretty much a full strength Col U team I think.

As for the topic, Meh. This cup if fine IF we can get to the semis & final. Otherwise it could be bad for all the reasons you mention. The FA Cup is a different matter. A decent 3rd round draw can keep a club like ours solvent. And even the 1st & 2nd rounds at least pay for themselves gate-wise and keep us supporters interested and dreaming of the plum tie.

We are not likely to win the FA cup whilst the JPT is easily within the realms of possibility.
Our playing budget is set based on season ticket sales and average attendance any money from cup games is extra that could be used for the extra loan player to help us in the league.

    1st round prize £5,000, 2nd round £7,000, 3rd round £10,000, area semi 17,000, area final £25,000, winners £40,000.

    You also get 45% of gate receipts, at Wembley this could be 30,000 @ £25 = £750,000 45% = £337,500.

So overall the winners could earn over 500 thousand, I would say that is very worth it.
