If I remember rightly, it was the season in which we just barely stayed up in the Championship (which makes sense when you think about it). I seem to remember us winning plenty of games on Sky after that, especially considering the following season we were promoted via the play offs and had 3 Sky Games (including the PO Final), not to mention a memorable win against Barnsley
I think that's probably right, I remember thinking after the play-off final, that we'd well and truly put the 'no good on TV' thing to bed.
Yes mate. It is just a bloody pain for me. I have a season and I really cannot justify travelling to home games from the South coast when it is on telly. I have broken that stance a couple of times because when we get hit we get hit and I would be missing a good number of home games in one season. Like you I don't mind away games being on at all.
Yes, but the first ever game shown on satellite television in this country was, as Tuckin says, ourselves at Boro.
If I remember correctly our first win on Sky was against Sheffield Wednesday (2-1?). I seem to recall Tudgay scoring and something to do with a Danny Mills handball (was that the same goal?).
This isnt strictly true. The host broadcasters of Premier League games are BBC, Sky Sports and BT Sport. Usually BBC broadcast 4, BT one and Sky 5. Other channels from other countries, like NBC, then take these feeds and whack their own graphics on top. Theres some pointless information for you all about broadcasting the PL hopefully at least one person found it interesting.
the one i remember is Against Rochdale , i think we was still suffering with Hateley , i watched that in Duke of Wellington off Peel St , Spring Bank
Thought Sky might have televised the Leicester game given the link with NP. Normal kick off times aren't that bad, just annoying when we're over looked in favour of teams like the dramas and Stoke!
Ah **** I was selfishly hoping there'd be one or two home fixtures changed. Started working in a bar this year and I can't ever get a Saturday off so haven't seen city live since West Ham
Hateley he'd gone by this point, in fact we were on unbeaten run of something like a dozen games under Warren Joyce. I went to this one and it was our worst performance when Joyce was in charge that season. (The Great Escape)
