What a team we now have! I know not everyone's happy at the moment but this a fantastic group of players to be truly proud of. I for one am determined to enjoy the ride ( who knows how long it will last). first home game of the season for me against Palace and the atmosphere is so much better than it used to be,a great move putting the away fans in the corner. A lot more to come from the team as well, exciting times indeed.
There are plenty of negative fans out there. Who think we should sell the best players we have, balance the books, accept relegation and stick with first teamers like Quinn and McShane. It is a great time to support the club because almost as every week goes by, it is the best in the clubs history.
Where the **** are all these newbies coming from? No end of posters with a handful of posts to their names appearing. Sorry if I sound cynical, but...
The better we get the more newbies jump on board...naturally.. and most welcome they all are too...good choice guys!..dont let the miserable fookers on here put u off read Brabin new manager of southport today..loved Brabs when i was younger..perhaps most newbies young too?
The number of newbies that have appeared in the past month is way higher than normal. Considering the number of multi-account WUMs on here though, should we be surprised?
Perhaps with everyone changing their names every few weeks it just seems like theres loadsa newbies?. Christ only knows ive posted more than a few cringeworthy posts these last few weeks..but least i stand by the same name from day1.
I almost never post but have been following this board since the end of actual 606, I don't see any bad side to new people, why is that a bad thing?
Cos were not all pissing against a breeze block wall of an excuse for toilets on a wet wednesday night v Lincoln still whilst wishing we were a prem/div1 team anymore.....people just weird Tigger... u can here em still at 19:04 if u listen close
Use to love all that silver cod pissed up,walk down west stand tunnel for a good brawl in car park post match..never forget the lads trashing ossie ardiles red jag whilst keeping a respectfull distance from Warrens car(escort or summat)....but times change and for the better in my view.
Telling the stewards yer dads in west stand so they would let u through so u could stand behind stans subs bench and talk to Herry Ngata and Ian McParlin`charlie` he once left subs bench on stans orders and scored a screamer of a free kick last kick of the game and ran to me n my mates to celebrate...yeah i miss them days...cant see the likes of Abel H doing that. i miss them romantic days like the next fan but am happier for it..cos we in prem and FA cup finals!
There probably are lots of fans, like me, who monitor the boards for news and interesting discussion (not the abuse!) who only post when they've got something worthwhile to say. Not sure if that is any better or worse than the stream of consciousness we seem to get from some posters!! Without the latter, the former would have nothing to look at. I'm now confusing myself so I'll shut up.
I don't mind at all the newbies. plastics or not, better to see people in the streets walking round supporting our club wearing city shirts rather than the usual suspects at the top of the prem. Everybody was a newbie once as has been said previously so lets just enjoy the ride together, no matter how long. These newbies are the fans that will as times go on, replace the fans who consider themselves long term nowadays.
The best part is kids following City as their team, not their "lower league team" that they sometimes see when Liverpool are not on the telly.
Too many dictators on this board. Its meant to be a forum where topics can be discussed amongst fellow supporters. Newbies are a welcome breath of fresh air, hopefully to replace certain gobshites who just piss people off with their opinionated ****e.
a lot of fans have just found this forum, but dont worry you have 1800 MORE posts than them so you are a better fan!
