Well, Titanic is a film which is about a disaster turned into a romance movie.

The last film I saw do that was Pearl Harbour, and that is one of the most horrible films in modern history.

Also I don't like romance films.

    Capiche?

Many reasons they are vastly inferior films. The actors. The acting. The writing. The overcomplication needed to tie them to the first 3 films. Need any more then just ask. You're welcome.

Titanic is actually a good film. Not just a romance film. Watch it and you might like it. Nothing in it to compare it to Pearl Harbour at all.

The only actors IMO who came out of the newer films with any credibilty were Ewan McGregor and Ian McDiarmid.

So because you don't think you'd like it, it's crap?

I've also never watched titanic. Not because I think it's crap but because I don't enjoy that genre. Doesn't make it crap tho.

It's a bit more than a romance film though.

If i'd not seen it before the only thing that'd put me off would be the running time.

Personally think it's a film lovers' film. If you can appreciate fine acting and good storylines then you'll like it. If not then you'll just see it as two lovers who met on a boat that sank.

Yes possibly. They really are poor films though. On so many levels.

McDiarmid is excellent in the 3rd Episode.

Episode 2 is the biggest waste of time i've ever encountered.

Watched it once and I have no desire to see it again. I don't even really know what happened in it.

I've also never seen Star Wars. There was a lad at school who made a point of telling everybody how many times he'd seen it, every ****ing day. It annoyed the **** out of me. When we'd left school & vids were common place he was just the same, it was up in the hundreds.

When us normal lads were trying our hardest to impress birds (in the hope of getting a second knuckle deep fingering on the go) with our ability to buy a pint or get served at the offy, despite only been 14, he was asking them to dress up with a stupid hair cut whilst he chased them dressed in a black bag using a torch taped to a stick as a weapon.

As he was such a boring **** I drew the conclusion that the films must also be boring to **** & that has put me off ever watching them, the ginger ****.

    I'm guessing he's still a virgin.

We do have them all on DVD but I've still not watched them although the kids did as they grew up. More importantly they'd tell me I was a sad **** if I suggested we watch them now.

I've also, amongst other programmes, never watched Emmerdale Farm or Hollyoaks or Dancing on Ice or Strictly Cum Dancing or Jeremy Kyle.

Sorry, but I think all romantic films are ****e, period. Every one I have seen I've disliked thoroughly, nothing will change my mind on that.

Film lovers' film? I and my friends go to the cinemas at least once a week, so by that I would call myself and them film lovers, and my mates that I know have seen Titanic think it's rubbish, and based on the pieces I have seen, I'm not impressed.

You can't have looked hard. 1-3 really suck. They have their moments, but the thing is, they only have any relevance as a REALLY REALLY LONG flashback. The story is boring and we know the end. There is no tension. But the main crime is the characters - the characters as so boring!

This little game shows the difference in the characters:

It was the first part released. Then Lucas went back and did PREQUELs (1,2,3). I think that's it?

I've never seen Grease or The Rocky Horror Picture Show and have nil intention of ever remedying this fact.

I only watch ITV if there is football on it.

Cheers Stan. If you're looking for science fiction may I suggest Blakes 7 or the little known 70s classic UFO.
