Yeah... should have fewer international breaks and play more games rather than breaking every month or so. A summer international season (for tournaments) and a winter international season (for qualifiers/friendlies) - have the rest of the year unbroken for clubs.
Drives me piggin mad. Just getting into the rhythm of the league and it all grinds to a halt again. We've managed to spare Sturridge from the delights of Hodgson's tender embrace, so he'll probably have a crack at one of the others. I think Allen's still on the injury list so hopefully he'll stay at home.

Do any fans enjoy the international breaks? Especially the games against the pub teams that should finish at least 10-0? ****e.
i reckon the only time any of us do is when its for selfish reasons lol, ie injured players being fit in time for next prem game, or players badly needing a rest. i got bored of watching england play ages ago and have always hated int breaks, probably last time i was excited about england was when we had shearer and sherringham as strikers, been ****e ever since in my opinion.
I think this is a timely international break for us - hopefully we'll have Sturridge and Allen back, and I hope we can kick on!
in short no not at all. Its like this, your own club news dries up won't hear much about anything for the two weeks. Then there's the awful english press coverage of engerlund and the fantasist crap cos england top a group a blind man could top. We all know 90% of the time england will top such a group easy... this week its two games england should win in their sleep. For LFC Well i am looking at lucas and gerrard can work on some stuff together.... maybe get in a behind closed doors game I hope. We could have jones Johnson toure paez Enrique Lucas rossiter allen Gerrard Sturridge Borini just as an example line up without internationals off on their jollys... I'd hope allen and sturridge will be secretly fit enoug to have a kick about next weekend. I'd be interested to gerrard pushed to no 10 role like he almost did v west brom as a tactcial shift if teams press on him when deep. It'd add an option to our arsenal to combat the high press.. tell him to go play between the lines high up. Thats the sum total of my international break interest.... If all lfc players retrun fit thats it... who cares if england win 4-0 or 6-0 v san marino and i expect a 2-0 with estonia... #mourinhoesque.
