Didn't you have him on loan or trial at one time. Anyway, we've just signed him on a free from the Gooners. Just O'shea, Brown, Gibbson and DJ Campbell and were finished our shopping. Good luck for the season, I'll be watching.
gota say in all honesty, none of those signings persuade me to not back sunderland as dark horses to go down..no offence intended
I've never heard of him. I think you've just migrated over here to wind us up, as about 6 of us demolished you in a debate on another thread. You're overspending on average signings, have lost your best two players in the past 2 transfer windows and have a manager who will be moving on to better things once he takes you to the dizzy heights of the top half of the table (which could be a few years yet). By the way, how are Turner and F.Campbell getting on? I hear our old mate Frazier has suffered a nasty injury and will be out for most of next season. Shame. As for Michael Turner, it's quite clear he took a bad move going to Sunderland - he hasn't been able to impose himself as a first choice centre-half and looks to be lagging a bit as you've rushed him back from injury (obviously the fear of playing Bramble and Ferdinand together scared the crap out of Bruce). Good luck for next season, I too will be keeping an eye on your progress
What is it about Sunlan I dont like... Swapping Tony Norman for Iain Hesford (not bringing Big Billy into this) Stealing Michael Turner or Fraizer Campbell
Deacon only played one game for us against Gateshead reserves. He looked OK but the opposition were too poor to judge him on. He laid on the worst miss of the season for one of our strikers. It may have been Jay Simpson. As for Sunderland, I hate them like most of us for stealing Turner and Campbell. I think they're making some good signings though. If they pull off O'Shea and Brown, they are superb signings. Gibson and Gardner are OK but a bit 1 trick pony-ish I think. Larsson is a good signing. DJ Campbell is an odd one, 1 good season.
As we're on the subject of taking the piss out of all things Sunderland, I found this on the internet (volume may need turning up, poor quality)
You didn't sign him from the Gooners, he was a free agent as they thought he wasn't worth a contract. He's not as good as Deacon Blue.
craig gardner is an excellent signing. none of the others would fill me with too much confidence to be honest. bruce will be gone by the new year is my prediction.
I'll be surprised if Bruce makes it past Christmas, I think he's ****ing useless, he's spent a fortune, got nowhere and talks bollocks.
i really rate him personally, good with and without the ball, able to influence play, chips in with a few goals, always very committed as well.
Still £20m in CREDIT ! Doesn't matter how much we spend, we got from good business! Enough for another decent striker perhaps !
I hear that's going to be...... David N'gog or DJ Campbell. You'll be flying up the Premier League next season with players of that calibre
