Well done Nico, good lap. Mercedes look unhappy though, bit odd. Good job by Ricciardo, with the weather tomorrow and a wetter setup, he's a threat.
Not a bad lap by Ericsson as well. Hulk had an awful lap. Big feeling Sebastian is trying to redo the Michael Schumacher job. Hes 100% going to Ferrari.
Credit to Vettel for being willing to undertake the challenge to bring Ferrari back to the front. Obviously trying to emulate his mentor and pal...
Alonso couldn't do it. Proves there is no 'i' in team, you need everyone working well to get success. Ferrari have been a shambles behind the scenes.
His commentary mainly consists of joking about conspiracy theories and sausages, his time in an F1 car and over hyping anything that happens on track. I think he has made Martin Brundle's commentary a little less appealing too by always joking around with him and hardly ever talking seriously.
Hamilton v Rosberg at turn 1 again then. Not that I'm suggesting anything untoward might happen... ...but I'm just gonna leave these here
Nico was quick today 2tenth is quite a gap for these two. So first strike to Nico and if the race is started under safety car and can only go two laps due to weather under the safety car then Nico will lead Lewis by half a point.
Red Bull must be thinking where now, with Newey, Vettel and his chief mechanic gone, with Renault power, the future does not look good, a few strategic management errors been made there.
The loss of Newey full time will be the biggest hurt of all. Ricciardo has outperformed Vettel for most of the year so they have a decent driver still in the team.
The loss of Newey is the main reason Vettel is going to Ferrari, so that will definitely concern them.
