Hilarious contrast between West Brom's little irritable timid bird saying 'Oi, get off me berries wot I've managed to scavenge from some almost bare branch or crack in the pavement' and our burnished one that looks like its swept off with all the good stuff.

Replace Lallana with Coutinho and Markovic with Lallana, and the 433 is a go.

 

Can only be negative with how crap we are. 1-1 for me, but I wouldn't be surprised if we lose again. If west Brom score first, we will be in trouble.

 

I'd play Borini too, particularly against teams like the Baggies. Balotelli isn't going to out-muscle Lescott, whereas Borini will move Lescott around, exposing space for the likes of Sterling.

I know he's not title winning quality, but Borini proved at Sunderland he's a premier league quality striker, and has a good finish on him with some confidence. He'd be my first choice against mid-table and lower, at least.

Balotelli is playing into the oppositions hands by stunting options in the final third, and only ever gets marked like a bitch when the big-boys come around, because they see him as a maverick who might score a ridiculous goal.

 

3 points would do nicely, we deserve some luck and would like a clean sheet. Come on you reds

Gerrard has offered diddly squat for ages now. It's time he's just not playing every ****ing game.

Borini and Balotelli can play off eachother, Henderson more holding with Lallana getting in behind the strikers, and couthino and sterling overlapping.

Can't be any ****ing worse than the ****e the last few games have produced.

Rodgers doesn't have the balls though. Gerrard will play next to Henderson (crippling Hendo as he has to do 2 players work), Balo will be up top isolated again.

 

anyone reckon there will be a huge sarcastic hoorah the day gerrard gets subbed early in a game lol, or even better, not picked every ruddy game.

i think personally we should use him only for cl games(its a luxury at mo for me, we need to make sure we are top 4 team again first), not sure how great our options are at mo though for replacing him, but like to see more of Henderson,can and allen in midfield, certainly more energy there for starters.

Can is injured. So who does that leave? Henderson at CDM, it's not exactly a no brainer - he doesn't excel there. And Lucas is useless. At least Gerrard still has fantastic range of passes in his locker, even if he is no longer that mobile. We're not spoilt for choices unfortunately.
