Just putting one up for anyone who fancies a long priced each way bet to nothing.

    Wolverhampton
    9.20 Taro Tywod 50-1 EW
There is one reason to believe this is an each way proposition. This selection finished well ahead of the 2nd favourite a couple of runs ago. That day the Godolphin horse was drawn 1 whilst the selection had to travel wide but managed to finish 2nd in the race. Basically if one horse finishes over two lengths in front of another and then meets on 2lb better terms it does not warrant being 10 times the price of the horse it beat.

I know we don't do aftertiming but I have to tell you that I just did the straight forecast of rembrandt Van Rijn and two jabs - you'll probably only find it amusing if you watched the race <laugh>.

Shane Kelly was due to ride but may not as he has just fallen off his last mount.

He must feel very stupid at the moment as a greater unnecessary display of whip use you will never see. He was clear on the much superior horse and just needed to allow the horse home in his own time. Shane decide to give him a proper whip and the horse jinks, unseating him. He must have imagined he was being pressed for the lead on a horse who needed to find a bit extra instead on a 1-2 shot coasting down the home straight 5 lengths clear........ Jockeys.

I feel for you stick - It was terrible. I hope the trainer asked him what he was thinking when he came in, what did he hope to provoke from the horse with that strike? It was not even a keeping him up to his work type smack, he lifted up in his saddle to administer the heaviest he could. Idiot, and not just for losing the race.

I mentioned his complete haplessness in great length several months ago and never touch anything he rides. He is truely awful and as weak as a wet dishcloth in a finish...I sometimes wonder what he is actually doing (can anyone really be that incompetent?) and wouldn't be surprised to lift a trade paper someday with his past efforts the subject of greater scrutiny.

I do watch his mounts though and have profited on occasion from following them nto under different instruction.

Re the trainer,he usually employs Ted Durcan who is frankly a mirror image of the guy in question and equally inept.

No one likes jockey bashing but there are instances when a professional has to answer for his actions and omissions.
